Good morning!!!!

It was 45°F this morning with light winds and no fog for first day in over a week. Sun is shining and forecast is for 62°F this afternoon. Hoping for a few rain-free days so this place will star drying out.

Waiting on fireplace techs to come replace the control valve on one of our direct vent gas (propane) fireplaces.

I installed a pair of Polk Audio indoor / out door speakers in the shop yesterday. They are a huge improvement over the "1970's" 3-way bookshelf speakers I was using.

Planning on trimming a few more post oaks today. With our mild weather, I'm concerned they'll be budding soon.

Everyone have an excellent Tuesday?

Prayers to all.

Check, good wishes on the surgery.
43 now, 42 was the low, been raining for about 36 hours off and on. 1.1 “ so far.
Got a letter saying they are cutting mom’s SS benefit starting last month, with no explanation. Always something, gotta call about that. My medigap policy is still screwed up and can’t seem to find the right one to get it fixed.
But I guess those things are minor in the grand scheme.
I hope you all have a great day, prayers for all.

Rick, my Apple and dogwood trees are budding, I fear they are being optimistic.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

I want to thank you all for the + thoughts, wishes, and prayers. I am sure that Jimmy would be appreciative as he would the tequila toasts last night. I hope that he gets more eulogies than mine. He definitely was a character. He’ll live on through all the memories he generated. I’ll think of him every time I see a garden gnome.

Check- Good luck with the gall bladder surgery.

Ted- I have not fired up the BigGreenEgg in over 6 weeks. Your London broil reads to be good eats. I hope that your knee is better behaved today. Friday I see the orthopedist.

12ºF was today’s low; 19ºF presently, and I doubt it will get much warmer. Still under a NWS Winter Weather Advisory, but I would not be surprised if this area is issued a Winter Storm Warning, Nothing really to add about today’s weather that I have not already rambled on about previously excepting this quote from the NWS: Complicating the forecast
is that none of the models are really capturing the magnitude of
this dry airmass over the region. I will add that the models have not really captured weather reality all season with the energized Pacific, split level hemispheric jet streams, polar vortex migrations, tropical moisture feeds, and an open, free flowing Atlantic.

Wifey and I are as prepared as can be for whatever this storm throws at us. I anticipated seeing a fair amount of snow, sleet, and freezing rain. Another mixed precipitation event later this week.

I hope that everyone has a decent day today, that challenging projects are successfully accomplished, and those impacted by the weather stay safe.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for all.

Toppop ask the Rat next week I think I see white stuff heading to you and buckeyefarmer maybe a good dose. That should slow the trees down and make the rodent go back in his hole

63°F and no rain. We seemed to have missed the wet portion of this strange weather event.

Hope to start placing 2x6 rafters today, maybe get started on next set of lumber needing paint.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Ted, let us know how that LB comes out.
Safeway has them on sale here quite often, last week i got some 3.99/lb.
It has become my frequent contribution when our Happy Hour is at someone’s house. I season with coarse ground garlic salt with parsley and ground black pepper before I vac seal and freeze. When thawed I cut in strips and normally grill on the gas grill, sometimes the Primo. I only make it cuz it’s so popular LOL

38°F and light rain this morning, steadily dropping through the day to 23°. We had a little blast of heavy snow around mid-morning, but it didn't last long.

Sorry to read about your friend's passing, Jay. Happy to read, though, that he was your friend. It's always a treat to have great people in your life.
