Sorry to hear about the fire Buckeye, that's a huge concern to us here, since we have one of the old white elephant Dairy Barns. It's companion Horse Barn was destroyed by an arsonist in the 70's. Really bad when animals are involved, people even more so.

Taking it easy today. Spent all day yesterday on hands and knees working the re-purposed wood floors for the run-in. I had just enough wood (2X6's) to cover the floor. And I mean just enough. I grabbed a support from my cow lean to, to finish it out. That things next, some year. LOL. I managed to even get it straight and no warped boards were used. That woods been on the farm here in various piles for over 15 years. It felt good re-purposing it, and now the floor will last a lot longer. All I need to do is frame it out, and screw it down. Well, when the back recovers. LOL.

Prayers for all. Remember - today is a day of rest. Try that, and think of good fortunes to yourself and others!

11F clear sky low 20's for high.
High gusty winds final die down last evening but left one heck of mess branches limbs

lots clean up in spring.

Birds squirrels were up and early this morning,and they let me know they wanted breakfast. :laughing:

Plans...check game cams take the day as it comes.

While pouring my second cup of coffee, just watched a sharp-shinned hawk catch a dove feeding on my driveway...explosion of feathers.

Rick, I'm not about to show those kitchen pix to my wife. Nicest kitchen I've ever seen...not only great cabinets, appliances and counters, but love the floors and rug, too. Enjoy! ...and thanks for the soup recipe.

BEF, sorry to hear about the fires. ...and by the way, after I eat at 5 Guys, I'm done for a day...wouldn't be able to even look at more food...well maybe crab cakes.

Good morning, 18 now, supposed to get to 32 with some snow later. coffee is tasting good and the wood burner is cranking out heat. Well, it must be, the cats are sprawled on the hearth rug soaking up heat.

We went to our favorite Mexican place last evening, the seafood enchiladas were quite good, service was efficient and attentive. No wonder we enjoy the place.

Yesterday didn稚 seem that productive, but in hindsight, made some progress in the garage. Hopefully today is as productive.

Shame about the fire and horses.

Our cabinets are knotty alder. We used the knotty alder in kitchen and bathrooms. Office and game room bar are oak.

it is almost impossible to find size 42 jeans with a 34" leg here. Ya, I know I am fat and tall. I am working on the fat, but I can't do anything about the tall.
