Good morning!!!!

Unlike Ron, I DID have seat time today. I went to the gardens for just and an hour and 30 of that was doing a job for the president - Spreading dirt over a new garden with the FEL.
Whipper had class #3 today and after drinking the beer she could sit, stay, lay down and come. She is making all those little yappy dogs look untrainable. (No offense Ron)
Picked up some pickle ball rackets at Academy so we are ready for our lessons starting this week.

Windy, 30s heading to the high 20s overnight. Clear skies, almost full moon.

It was 47° at 7 a.m. and back to 47° at 7 p.m. with a high of 54° mid afternoon. When I got up, about 4 a.m. it was still 60°.

It's been very windy all day pretty steady at 20 mph with lots of gusts well over 30 mph. It dropped of to about 12 mph as it got dark.

Didn't have time to post this morning as I assisted our new County Agri-Life Extension Agent to put on a grass burr control seminar at our VFD Hall. TAMU is working on some new controls but ...... nothing out yet. Prowl H2O pre-emergent and Pastora post-emergent are still the recommended chemical controls.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Prayers to all.

Good morning all.
-28°F. Looking for a high of -13F. Wind NE 13 gusting to 25 mph.
Mainly sunny.

I wont take my tractor out in these temps. It is a good way to break something. The temp MUST be above zero F, before I will even think about taking the tractor out.

This is another energy conservation day.

Have a good day all

And with the windchill?

I have no idea.

55 and rain has just stopped. Temps dropping and winds climbing all day...expecting 12F tonight, and gusts to 37mph.

Rip, great news.

Rick, nice find...good stuff, although I admit I don't know what half of it is.

Ron, cool photo. Hard to believe those cranes haven't gone south.

Don, pickle ball has taken over the basketball court at the YMCA where I go to the gym...they have 3 courts/nets and always full with a waiting line on the days they set it up, which has grown to M, W, F. Seriously, Don, how is your crew cleaning out the pipe? I have one I need to tackle.

Took Coco hiking to the river in the battlefield forest yesterday morning. Saw no one until almost back to the truck...3 high-school age young men hiking in with waders, fishing gear and backpacks. They were going fishing for smallmouths...the closest access is about 1.5 miles from the parking lot...I was impressed with their dedication on a 37F and cloudy winter day...nice to see them outside instead of maybe playing Fortnite.

good morning all, pouring rain here, but remarkably warm at 62 degrees, and darned if those chilly Canadians aren't letting their cold air out again...temps dropping through the day and it's going to get cold. Cold sure is relative here though...

I read this and am glad I got those floating row covers for the cabbage. Going to get even colder for lots of us.

In Harper’s wake, a large pool of cold air will slide into the Midwest and East, perhaps setting at least a few daily record lows. Long-range forecast models are consistently calling for one or more shots of even colder air in the next 1 to 2 weeks. If the latest TWC outlook is correct, wintry jabs will continue pummeling the central and eastern U.S. straight through February and into early March.

enjoying first cup of coffee, dishwasher and clotheswasher running, little domestic work to do this morning then I'll probably go plant a few more trays of collards and cabbages. Also need to tie down the sheets over plants, I wonder where I'll find them this morning.

be careful in the snow and enjoy your Sunday, prayers for all who need to heal.
