24 outside this AM. Heading to upper 30`s. Looks like a significant snow event shaping up for my area this weekend. That means inches. LOL. We cannot drive well in this area.
Job did not pan out. Agreed on 4 Weeks of work, scoped it for that. Got it there found what they were looking for, left instructions for next steps. Left. Got call on road thanking for work and apologizing for their described condition. They know my status. I told them keep an eye out for more work.
Insurance guy finally coming out tomorrow. Repair costs on metal roof all within a few hundred bucks of each other. Told wife I need to up my labor costs. She got off cheap.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 11° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 27° with sunny skies. Motion light still has not been installed yet. Forgot cleaning lady was coming. House is clean. PT this morning. Maybe. Right elbow is is swelling with what feels like liquid. No pain though. May end up with a visit to doctor.

Drew, hope you are feeling better. Steak looks delicious. You may want to look at butcher block counter tops at HD. May be better than laminate. Couple good coats of polyurethane should protect it well.

Don, keep up the search for the person with key to tractor.

23F now and headed for 32F. Less windy today so may head to woods to trim some downed trees preparing for firewood logs. Snow forecast for tomorrow afternoon- first of 2019. Have a safe weekend everyone! Frank

mighty cold this morning, 19 degrees and forecast for weekend is wet and just above freezing. That means lots of snow North of here....

feeling a little better, still dragging, a few aches from shoveling and raking dirt yesterday, but glad it's done.

at least this cold weather will now allow me to prune my blueberry and blackberry bushes, plus the fruit orchard. Hope you all have a nice day.

Frank, I'm heading to the woods today for firewood, too. I cut more Wednesday than I could carry on one trip, so I need to go pick it up and split. Then other chores getting ready for the predicted snow.

Wind kept our temps up at 26, high of 38 today.
Winter storm watch in effect from noon Saturday until Monday morning.
Last night it looked to be going south of us, haven’t looked today.

Ellen’s daughter tested positive for flu and pneumonia. She has Tamiflu and an antibiotic.
I’m trying to avoid all that this year, I spent three days in hospital each of last two years with one or the other.

47 degrees for the low this morning and going for a high of 49. In other words; won't be able to tell the difference all day. But NWS says 100% chance of rain and it just started to sprinkle at 6:15 a.m. We've had 7 days without rain; sure would liked to have had more days without rain.:laughing:

Good morning! 49 ˚F heading to 58 ˚F. 70% chance of rain. Trail blazers and hiking are canceled because of the rain. No e-mail back from tractor key holder so today will be an attic day and the tractor key holder will get a phone call. One problem we are having in this neighborhood is that our calendar is too small. The two inch squares don't allow for more than 4 activities a day.

I have been thinking about the tractor door that only slides halfway open on one side and might have to take some detail pics to see if Harvey or the morning group can figure an easy repair.

25°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 33° today. Snowmagedon2019 is arriving a little earlier than expected here today, around noon-ish. Current estimates are 6-10", and possibly as much as 16" in some areas of central Missouri. Got to work early this morning, knowing I'll probably start heading back home around noon.

Congrats on the newly powered shed, Drew. That's how I felt when we finally got power back to the barn last year. It's a nice feeling.

Bummer about the ravens, Eric. In many parts of this country, the law gets a bit more flexible when it comes to endangering farm animals. Quoth the farmer; nevermore.
