No, of course I don't "want" to wait ten years. But I would buy something with at least ten years of prior history NOW and then ten years from now, do the same.

We DID buy an unknown "Universal" Romanian tractor, over a MF in 1972, because, it was cheaper and came with lots of extras at no cost. It wasn't a Bad tractor, but in hind sight, we should have gone with the MF. AND, despite getting much more in trade in 1990 than we paid (not considering inflation) we would have done MUCH better with the MF. Just sayin.

T234 the Tym 24 hp model has a Mitsubishi Tier 4 Engine (24.4 Gross HP)

RK is a Yanmar.

Both are first class Engines in my opinion. Especially being Japanese.

I would love to see a RK tractor dealer in Colorado!

Thank you sir! We will offer RK Tractors in just about every RK location by 2020, but Champaign is not on the list for 2019. We are finishing up the eastern side of our location footprint, and will move to the west for 2020. We will be adding another Tractor Assembly Center (TAC), and the parts & service infrastructure for the west side of our locations. Sorry that it is not sooner.
I see this as only positive . These people are worried about repairs and the warranty . If you make that happen , PRICELESS .

If I were to buy either it would take a pretty significant perk for me to choose a re-branded TYM over a TYM branded tractor. The nearest TYM or RK dealer are 150 miles away but I would consider buying at that distance at the advertised price points. I may eventually purchase a mid sized cab tractor after my property is all cleared and the present equipment is sold. My biggest concern with either is their lack of an online parts lookup. I like to be able to look up and source parts online especially with something i don't have a local dealer for.

I can drive 25 miles in either direction and find an orange or green tractor dealer. I have been sticking with used green tractors except for my yellow one which is NH.

Tongue in cheek, give us 吐at heads a little credit. For every tractor we sell, we take a set amount of the revenue depending upon HP and place it in a warranty cost reserve to use to pay for our costs associated with the long warranty. Meaning, we have planned for those costs. It is not just a way to instill confidence in our tractor quality, it is fully integrated into our business planning. If someone has a warrantable repair need in the 8th year of the warranty, the money is there for us to repair it without impact to our profitability.
I researched for a long time before running across the RK tractor, I purchased the RK and have no regrets!! The only issue I have is some of the information in the operators manual is a little grey however you have done a great job addressing this. Great Job!!

YUP!

I struggle with this as well. Why would TYM enter into this arrangement? For the RK price to be competitive TYM would have to sell to them at a very low price. What's in it for TYM?

If RK ceases this venture isn't that going to give TYM a bad name?

Do RK stores have a warranty service department? If not, where does an RK owner go with warranty issues? If it's back to TYM why would the consumer buy the RK branded version?

I wonder how many RK buyers know who makes the tractor?

All of these issues increase the chances of a disconnect. But, maybe it's just me.
