Just curious Ortimber....how does the price of the air conditioned 865 compare to the RTV-X1100C?

I tried looking on the John Deere build and price but I could not find AC?
It had the model number with HVAC added to it, there are 2 if them. MSRP is horrendous, I looked at that site yesterday... Kubota is cheaper by a few grand.

The fully loaded 865R $26,589 msrp and the mid grade 865M is $22,699 as listed on the Deere website.

I can tell you that the RTV is a much different machine than the JD.

If you want a utilitarian, semi uncomfortable machine that will outlast all of us and you can live with the very limited performance up hills, go with the RTV.

If you want something that is extremely comfortable (all day) and most likely nearly as tough (less CVT belt drive) as an RTV, go with the JD.

I'll just wait for Kubota to come out with a cab, diesel RTV with another 10 MPH, LOL.

It’s too bad that no manufacturer has a 35HP diesel. That would be my pick.

I may have found it.... The one. 300 hours, September 2016 in service date, 2600 miles, $9,700. from the best guess looking at the rub marks and deformed metal down the right and left side of the 2 year old machine we're thinking that the farmer that bought it had a gate that the machine almost couldn't fit through.

So we're guessing that he rubs one side or the other almost every time he went through that gate. Really the problems with the machine has are all cosmetic. With only 300 hours on it, it's mechanically good to go and has had the filters changed at least once because they are not the gray painted factory ones.

$17,000 new.... Or $9,700 and I don't have to be afraid to put my first scratches on it.

I can also spend some time on weekends pulling some gouged up and deformed metal off, straightening it out repainting it, and putting it back on.

From what I can see the only money that needs spent on parts would be the two female rear seat belt things, the housing is smashed and busted off where you would push the button to release the seat belt. The one rear seat backrest has a chunk torn off of it, I could cover that with some duct tape and if I decide I don't want to spend the money on a new seat backrest.

.....And I don't have to be afraid to put my first scratches on it. 20190108_153818.jpeg20190108_145801.jpeg20190108_153842.jpeg20190108_153750.jpeg20190108_154020.jpeg20190108_154339.jpegView attachment 58638120190108_154328.jpeg20190108_154017.jpeg
