Is that true? If I have stored a 20%/25% coupon on my phone, display and use it at the register, then come back in a few days (before the coupon's expiration date) and try to use the same coupon image again, it will be rejected? They always ask for my phone number at checkout - is that how they track it? Or perhaps credit card number?
No, you can use the same coupon over and over day after day. You can not use the same coupon number more than once in a transaction.

I went yesterday & THOUGHT I was going to pick up 2 4drawer carts.. along w/ the side tables..
They had them on display w/ "cards" in a slot.. "Take this card to register".. so I grabbed the ONLY 2 remaining side trays & the "cards"..
I figured if they had the "CARDS".. they would have the carts?? WRONG..
I had to/given the option to, pre-pay for the carts & wait till they came in.. AND THEY WOULDNT HONOR the 86.00 coupon.!!! BUT SHE DID ring them up at 107.00.. sux..
AND they didn't have the dual burner propane heaters.!!! no option to pre-pay on those.. I had a 60.00 coupon that expires 12/31/18
They were on the shelf for 70.+ $...but none there..
The single 1 was there at 35.00?? & I had a coupon for 30.. but didn't bring it.. cuz I didn't want a single burner{heater}
THATS the reason I waited to go to the store.. to take the wifes SUV> to fit the carts{big boxes}
My back tailgate wont open..
OH, I DID p/u a 17ft "little giant" ladder for 99.00..
When it was all said & done.. the bill was 521.00 & I didn't get the 2 MAIN ITEMS I went for.. carts & dual burner..
You guys are smart enough to read AND COMPARE the prices in the flyers.. The BIG JANUARY BLOW-OUT SALE has the 17' ladder for 109.00 w/ SUPER COUPON.. I JUST PAID 99.00 w/ my coupon.. lol.. AND its like THAT thru*out the flyer..
SO KEEP your OLD flyers & compare the prices.. you'll be surprised at the "mark-ups" OR "mark-downs"..
Wait, she wouldn't honor the higher priced coupon you had, meanwhile you paid $107? No way Batman. When you go back, within 30 days, take that receipt showing the $107 purchase price and take the attached image. Have them refund you your $44 plus tax. You do not over pay at HF while there is a multi month coupon out there for cheaper. Throw all of the fliers in the trash and use the www.hfqdb.com we site or the Android application named the same. 2657_ITEM_30___4_DRAWER_TECH_CART_1544986109.4142.jpeg

You can do two trips with cash one time and credit card the next.
You can do as many trips as you can find different or willing clerks if you pay cash. They don't track cash.

Back in the day the clerks at 1 store I frequent would take the coupons and insist on marking them or destroying them. They got frustrated when I started using my phone years ago.

They don't track credit/debit either, I'll have my wife and son with me and we will use my one debit card but each of us will have one item with a coupon and one free item each. We all use my ITC card, we all use my one debit card. What some of the girls will not do is allow me to go outside and come right back in for another 20% and another free item. Some will though....

I HAD THAT coupon Rock.. I gave her the phone & she plugged it in.. & it STILL came up 107.00
There was a BIG FLYER on the bulletin board behind her w/ a pic of the cart, about the coupon..
The writing was to small for me to read tho.. BUT the friggin coupon is marked STILL ACTIVE on the website.. & THATS WHERE I got it from.

That's crap. I just tested it on the website and your correct, it's getting you to $107. I would be pissed and I'd be having them adjust for the shown $84.99 if I could. I think my store would, they all know me by name there.Screenshot_20181230-074300_Chrome.jpeg

I had brought the clipped coupon for 109.0 {& was ready to pay THAT PRICE}
& took a snap shot of the 85.00..
The 107.00 price was supposed to be on the 2-3 day sale that ended on the 28th..
but it rang up 107.00 using the coupon off their website.
That's fine w/ me.. but it woulda been A LOT sweeter if I coulda saved 44.00
AND I NEEDED some saw horses but wasn't about to pay the 13.00 apiece for them, when they had a coupon for 9.00 next week..Jan 11 12 13th
I guess I'll wait till they call me to p/u my carts & getm then.??
BESIDES> the wife was payin anyway..hahaha

I'm pretty sure I've used the 20% coupons more than once, but I always refuse to give them a phone number ... even when I show them the coupon on the phone screen.

Phone number just lets them track what you buy.
They can bring it up if you don't have your receipt when returning something.

I have several phones & forget which one I gave them.. when she punched it in she got a funny look on her face..
I asked her if THAT was a "good #" cuz I've got LOTS of other #'s I could give her.. She just laughed & said, NO, its good..

.......... I highly recommend those for trouble shooting.. get 10 ofm & give'm away to your dumb mechanic friends.. OR send'm to about 80% of the posters on this site..Lol
I saw a thread the other day w/ I get nuthin when I turn the key..35 q&a's & come to find out it was a dead battery.. 3 or 4 pages & this schmo had a dead battery.!! NOW IF he had a 1.00 test meter.. thing coulda been different..lol
I agree. I also post on an RV site and half the electrical problems posted there could be solved in a few minutes with a HF multimeter. I even send them the free coupon and get resistance (no pun intended). One guy wanted to argue how much better a Fluke meter is - sure it is, but when you are flying totally blind a cheap HF meter is like gold.

That might be because he owns a Fluke that he might not even know how to use but leaves prominently displayed when his tool buddies are around.....or when he is on public forums. Now he desperately wants to justify spending a min. of $400 to diagnose a key-off battery drain caused by his car radio or bad ground on the trailer lights when he could have used a free meter available only from a store that doesn't sell SnapOn......OH MY, how provincial :shocked: ! Our electricans at work used Fluke meters, while a good investment that offers great quality and function that some professionals truly need, their Flukes never once diagnosed an issue that couldn't have been ( or wasn't already) diagnosed with the free HF meter I kept in our tool crib.

You guys PAY for the red (and previous yellow) multimeters? :eek: I accumulated a half dozen with free coupons.

They are fine for rough first-pass diagnostics. But comparing several, I saw a range of 12.2 to 12.42 on a battery I had neglected to charge timely. That's not sufficiently accurate to judge if the battery was ruined. I also measured line voltage at the wall outlet and saw a 5+ volt range there. Cheap is fine in a lot of instances but I wanted better accuracy.

Fry's had the Bosch fix 7665 multimeter on special for $9.95. I bought two, for barn and house. It is a whole world better. Backlight, Hold Reading button, a fold out leg on the back to slope the screen where you can see it. Battery test settings for 1.5V, 9V, 12V. Convenient size similar to the HF so pocketable, in contrast to any 'pro' meter. Voltage reading is identical between the two Bosch meters and matches a lab-grade bench multimeter I had borrowed to calibrate the HF meters.

I've stepped up from frustrating junk, to sufficient.

HF has substituted the new one drawer $85 30 inch rolling tool cart as the cheapest cart of that type, in place of the $99 4 drawer cart (that is now on sale for $107?) as cheapest. Here's an old post where the 4 drawer version was $99 a few years ago.

The 4 drawer was $99 early this summer of 2018. I purchased 2 black ones for $99 each.

I have to agree the cheap HF multi meters are great for the price. I have used them several times to resolve a problem. The nice thing is they are "cheap" enough to have 1 on each floor of the house and 1 in each outbuilding. Never have to walk too far to get one! LOL

The Bosch meter looks good for the money. I have a half dozen free HF multimeters that I have spread all over the place so that they are handy. You are right that if you need an accurate measurement, you need a better meter, but 99% of the time the HF meter suffices and I have it where I need it.

Seems like 9 out of 10 times I am just looking to see if I am getting any reading so they are good for that.
