Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

Is it possible that some of my blue tarps are evaporating? I have a couple in the barn, covering equipment that have been there since day one. The last couple of years I've noticed they are considerably lighter than others and are definitely getting thinner. Sounds crazy but has anyone else experienced similar?

Yes, they do seem to be get thinner. We use them a lot for throwing and dragging prunings, yard debris, etc. and we wear them out fast. If they are outside long, they deteriorate.

I have 25 of the free 5x7 tarps in the basement plus the ones outside in use, and I make them work for my wood stacks. But I plan a winter out of them and if I can also get the summer.... I'm all good. Being free, it makes them worth it .

If you want a tarp that will last a while, upgrade to the HD silver ones. But at that price, go on Amazon and order the silver Grizzly Tarps. I've used these and found them to be the best bang for the buck in tarps.

Follow this link, then adjust the size and quantity to your desire.

I'm going to try your advice for a Grizzly tarp next time.

Forget HF's silver tarps. Photo below.

Text copied from the post where I first showed this photo: ..."rotted from sunlight. An edge tore away from its border before 6 months, now at 8 months it disintegrated at multiple points. The perimeter remains attached. It didn't tear out any grommets which would indicate wind stress. It tore effortlessly taking it down."

After I took it down, I used the remnants as a ground cloth for outdoor painting. The tarp was so fragile that it tore some more just getting it spread out.

Somewhere in this thread, someone laid out the heirarchy of quality levels between HF's various brands. I can't find it now. Can someone help me out? I'm interested in the welders as well as in cordless tools and hand tools.

I wish HF would print a little summary on their catalogs, or have some info on their web site about this.

Look at the price.

Don't forget guys, the Braun 63958 bar light, the greatest light in the world.... Is $19.99 right now.

There are at least 5 25% coupons on HFQDB, you can buy at least 5 big money, covered items, using 5 of the 25% off coupons starting tomorrow through Tuesday and save big. The big $700 hydraulic press.... The mill.... and a metric crap ton of other things! Read the exclusions though!
Read the bar code numbers! You can not use the same bar code numbered coupon twice.

Never forget your free item!20181229_151343.jpeg25_percent_off_1545964166.2237.jpeg25_percent_off_1546011753.4518.jpeg25_percent_off_1546010731.3402.PNG25_percent_off_1545880867.1416.jpeg25_percent_off_1545865054.6984.jpeg

^^ But remember, you can only use 1 %off coupon per visit.
Are you sure? Red Beard, The Den of Tools on YouTube made a video yesterday saying that you can use each of the 25% coupons on a different item.... And then use a 20%, then a free item.

Has anyone tried the 20 or 25% coupon on the bottle jacks? I know it's says no floor jacks on the coupon but since they are not listed under floor jacks figured they might allow it.

I think it depends on the store. I have gone back a little later and gone through a different cashier to double dip.

I will have to try that. They all know me by sight in my store, so I have gotten some exceptions in the past by sweet talking. I have done the 25% and 20% on the same day.

Read the first line of the fine print.

Yup. I did the two trip thing in one day. Made sure I used a different cashier and credit card.

You can do two trips with cash one time and credit card the next.

I used the 20% off coupon on a 20T air over hydraulic bottle jack.

I went yesterday & THOUGHT I was going to pick up 2 4drawer carts.. along w/ the side tables..
They had them on display w/ "cards" in a slot.. "Take this card to register".. so I grabbed the ONLY 2 remaining side trays & the "cards"..
I figured if they had the "CARDS".. they would have the carts?? WRONG..
I had to/given the option to, pre-pay for the carts & wait till they came in.. AND THEY WOULDNT HONOR the 86.00 coupon.!!! BUT SHE DID ring them up at 107.00.. sux..
AND they didn't have the dual burner propane heaters.!!! no option to pre-pay on those.. I had a 60.00 coupon that expires 12/31/18
They were on the shelf for 70.+ $...but none there..
The single 1 was there at 35.00?? & I had a coupon for 30.. but didn't bring it.. cuz I didn't want a single burner{heater}
THATS the reason I waited to go to the store.. to take the wifes SUV> to fit the carts{big boxes}
My back tailgate wont open..
OH, I DID p/u a 17ft "little giant" ladder for 99.00..
When it was all said & done.. the bill was 521.00 & I didn't get the 2 MAIN ITEMS I went for.. carts & dual burner..
You guys are smart enough to read AND COMPARE the prices in the flyers.. The BIG JANUARY BLOW-OUT SALE has the 17' ladder for 109.00 w/ SUPER COUPON.. I JUST PAID 99.00 w/ my coupon.. lol.. AND its like THAT thru*out the flyer..
SO KEEP your OLD flyers & compare the prices.. you'll be surprised at the "mark-ups" OR "mark-downs"..

^^ And in a couple of weeks it will be back to $99 or less. They rotate promos often.

The cart thing ...?? I'd ***** loud and strong. Maybe call the 800 number.

I picked-up a 5000K shop lite too.. 25.00 seemed alittle steep for a lite that u cant link together tho.. but I needed 1, so what thehel!..
I got the 24' outdoor lites after the "glowing" recommendations from RC{I think}& his fire pit pictures.{lol}
OH, in the Jan. flyer they have the little multi-meter for 1.00 something.. I highly recommend those for trouble shooting.. get 10 ofm & give'm away to your dumb mechanic friends.. OR send'm to about 80% of the posters on this site..Lol
I saw a thread the other day w/ I get nuthin when I turn the key..35 q&a's & come to find out it was a dead battery.. 3 or 4 pages & this schmo had a dead battery.!! NOW IF he had a 1.00 test meter.. thing coulda been different..lol

Is that true? If I have stored a 20%/25% coupon on my phone, display and use it at the register, then come back in a few days (before the coupon's expiration date) and try to use the same coupon image again, it will be rejected? They always ask for my phone number at checkout - is that how they track it? Or perhaps credit card number?
