The story behind your Avatar?

Mine is one of our English Pointers;since passed but an outstanding bird dog for sure.We now have (son and I) three German Short-hairs and my old (11) English Pointer.We run a small uplands preserve so the pups get lots of bird work.

Diggin it - I think the one time I was in LA - saw a road sign - just like your avatar. Mine - the Kubota, at rest, in its carport stall.

I grew up on Allis Chalmers tractors and have restored many of them, as an adult.

This is a picture of my 2 year old son sitting on one. He loved being on them. He is now 20 years old and works for a Kubota dealer as a Service Tech.

Lots of great memories.

Mine is just a picture of my tractor.

The picture at quick glance is very similar to my old l3400 picture I had for avatar for my first 8 years or so on this site.

I wanted to keep it similar. Because I don't know if many others are like me.....in that I recognize posters moreso by the avatar rather than their user id.

Wile E hangs out and enjoys the world with me. He spent most of a decade in the passenger seat of my Ranger. Got the picture when he was out getting some fresh air time on the tractor.

The coyote and howling tie in to the name of my consulting business.

Mine is the view from our dock when we lived on the coast in Virginia. Still miss that place. But not the annual near misses from hurricanes.

My Yanmar YM240. New in 1980 and apparently parked outdoors all its life. I bought it in 2003. It continues today to run like new.

My sig below this post shows the YM240 with its backhoe and my second Yanmar, a YM186D. Since that photo, I replaced that one with another YM186D that has an OEM loader and power steering.
