I've recently been having some CVT clutch issues with my Mechron. At around 1000hrs, something in the pulleys locked up and wouldn't release drive at idle, applying the brakes would just drown out the engine. So decided it was time for a new set of pulleys and ordered one off an ebay supplier. Got these put on and I'm back moving again, but ever since, it won't build up speed... even on flat ground unloaded. It seems happy to travel along at ~5 mph, far short of its 20+ mph I was used to before. Its like the rpms never climb and therefor the CVT is not shifting into a higher gear. It will gain speed coasting downhill and it will still pull up hill without stopping, but very, very slow.

Any CVT experts out there? I thought with these new parts, it should be more or less plug 'n play and she'd be back to new. is there something I'm missing that needs adjusting? does this indicate a problem with the new set (like spring tension on the primary)? I checked the CVT belt itself and it read well within spec, so i'm not really sure whats going on but not the problem I wanted after dropping $500 on a new set of pulleys.

Assuming it is a 2200. Do you have any dealer support? Not a lot of forum info on this type of off brand equipment
