There's always one who has to find the cloud outside the silver lining.
That looks like bittersweet, which is highly invasive and grows up through the trees eventually killing them. Birds eat the seeds, which then are spread when they come out the other end.

A better statement might be:

How nature kills shrubs/trees.

That is DEFINITELY Bittersweet, an invasive vine that kills it's host vegetation.
My property is plagued with it!
I wish there was a way to rid the planet of that stuff.
