Welcome to the Pack
Did you go with the Cab style or open? Talk about spoiled the Cab will sure do it
NC419N, I got open station. This will be my only tractor and I am hoping to do lots of work in the woods. I have 5-6 acres of 20 year old pines that I am planning to take advantage of. That tractor will pay for itself if I can skid out some logs and have them milled for building lumber. I think I can get most of what I will need for a nice pole barn from them

Now attachments. I ordered it with a Bush Hog brand BH6. But, the more I look, the less I like it. Didn't really notice that the deck is stitch welded. Anyone have a 6' cutter they are really fond of that won't break the bank? I think I can get away with a light to medium duty cutter. Most of my cutting will be trimming up grass and weeds around a planted field and driveway. There is some overgrowth around the edges of the woods, but I don't plan to mow that until I do some cleaning up. It would be nice to just attack it with an HD cutter. Hmmm...all idea or suggestions are welcome.

I flew B models. They were there best maintained and best built airplanes I ever flew in the military. But they weren't very capable by today's standards. I loved it. The Might Herk is a great machine no matter what version your talking about.
We always liked the B best also. The H's seemed to break to often. Our bird was selected to fly Bob Hope around for his 69 Christmas Tour. One of the greatest men I ever met.

I have the Everything Attachments 6' cutter. It's a good machine, I did need to get something heavier duty for my needs, but if your mowing grass and small stuff, the EA will serve you well. I also wound up with a Baumalight CP560, which is just a different animal, it's made to take down trees and do it all day long. I wouldn't want to cut the grass with this thing though, it's very heavy and without a tail wheel, cutting grass would be a nightmare. Depending on how much grass your cutting, you might want to go bigger than 6', on my 6010, there's nothing I can possibly get under the cutter that can use up the HP, I run out of speed long before power mowing my fields. If I had it to do over again, I probably would have gone for a 7' or maybe even a 12' batwing if I could stomach the price.

I have researched rotary cutters for years and finally decided that there just isn't enough grass or brush on my 80 acres to do any mowing. The final implement that impressed me the most was a Brown 415 or 416 rotary cutter. Unfortunately they are made in Alabama and I'm in Ea WA state. Current price on the 415 is $2800 and the 416 is $3200.

To the best of my knowledge Brown has no dealerships and sells directly from their facilities in Ozark, AL.

Its probably all for the best - my Kubota M6040 is open station and mowing would raise unGodly clouds of volcanic ash and dust.

I get enough of that just mowing my lawns with my riding mower.

Thanks Overtaxed. I like EA equipment. I'm 45 minutes from them and rode up to look at their equipment. Everything I was able to see looked overbuilt. Those folks are busy too. Phone never stopped ringing. I think that cutter would do all that I would need it to do and more. For brush work I wonder if the 5' might be a better choice for me. The 4510 HST only has 34 hp at the PTO.

Do you use the "front and rear shielding" that EA sells with the cutter?

I found your thread on the Baumalight "forest eater"...lol. That thing could get back a couple acres at my place in a couple days if that long. Sweet!

BTW, I was raised in Spartanburg and looked hard for a farm down your way. Pretty country.
