Thanks Coby. Didn't mean to upset anyone. Just figured some guys would rather see the LS in action instead of me typing a story out about how it doesMallard can do whatever he wants.
...but because you seem so butt hurt over Youtube links, maybe if I insert the video here instead it won't upset your delicate constitution?
I have the Black diamond splitter in the gas version. The tables they have are well built and not to expensive if you care to check them out.I have been wanting a table for my splitter but at our Rural King only the gas powered splitters come with a table. And if I want one for mine I need to order it. I hope to do that soon. Thanks for watching man! Thanks for posting. I'm a you tube junkieI have the Black diamond splitter in the gas version. Nice man! I used to do all mine by hand with a splitting mull. Man does this splitter save me some time and saves my back lolI don't have a big splitter like that, and we don't have a fireplace, but, we do camp a lot, so today I got out the little splitter and worked up a couple bucket loads of campfire wood....

we built a big house with a big fireplace years ago, lived there 11 years. Had to go up 6 steps and across the deck to carry firewood in. Man I wish I'd had one of these then, sure would have made that job easier!
A table is a huge advantage. And it痴 better putting the wedge at the end of the beam so it pushes the split piece off the end. View attachment 576993
yeah the ones that push the wood through the wedge instead of the wedge through the wood are better, but, most of them are made to stand up as well, and that won't work for vertical splitting
Notice the log lift which is about 3/4 way down in the picture.
yes I saw that, it still wouldn't split wood in a vertical position though :thumbsup:which is what I was talking about. I understand the log lift means it doesn't HAVE to go to vertical position, I was merely commenting that most of the ones manufactured today are set up to be used either way, which is why they make them push the wedge through the wood
Splitting wood vertically sucks. It’s harder to work sitting on a bucket or worse kneeling on the ground. And you have to handle the wood 1 more time.
Watching the movie; that boy needs some instructions on handling a chain saw. Always put the saw against the log and let the saw do the work. That's a pretty big saw for cutting the stuff he was cutting. I always had a small and a bigger saw when making firewood. Saves my back.
