Good morning all, 56 going to 76 and partly sunny, 60% chance of rain tonight. Got little done yesterday but did go for a walk, about a mile in all. Boy went to bed and rolled over and went to sleep last night, first time in a good while. Hoping that is a sign of things to come. Thanks for the prayers and good thoughts.

Roy, praying you feel better soon.

David, that looks like fun, I would gladly spend some days doing that. I know you had a smile on your face when you took the last pic.

Texas, glad you guys and Don's mom made it through the storms.

Have a great day, payers sent. Ed

The cold weather from the North has eased off, for once there is no ice. Another reason the house is toasty warm this morning is that I filled the woodburner last night with a piece of hawthorn so large it only just fit inside. Brought the laptop into the living room to catch up on TBN while I drink a cup of tea and watch the last glowing embers that have now lasted 10 hours.

When I was travelling home yesterday evening I passed through a couple of villages that were thick with trick or treaters. Quite a sight when the car headlamps showed only the bones of the kid's skeleton outfits.

Maybe in a few years time, when most vehicles are electric, 122 fuel pumps won't seem that many while we are all waiting for a charging point to come free.

now this was fun...

JD salesman coming this morning to appraise my Kubota. He said JD and Kubota with a FEL were easily sellable, they would like all they can get.
Ok, now give me a good price...
where does one find "book" price on a tractor?
Am still not sure I'm going to do anything but worth the discussion.

51 degrees this morning, and the NWS expects it to just stay right there today. I just dumped about .98" of rain out of the gauge from yesterday, so we didn't have any trick or treaters this year.

I just dumped about .98" of rain out of the gauge from yesterday,

that's quite a precise eye you've got Bird!

you must be ahead of average for this year on rain...

Poured first cup of coffee. 43° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 45° with 100% chance of rain. While out in shop yesterday managed to bang my arm on something. Paying for that move today. No trick or treaters. I get to eat the candy wife bought just in case one showed up. Got call from person we bought bedroom set from. Going to do it this evening. Made a run to HF for a fresh supply of tarps, duct tape and mover covers. With coupons I spent less than $30 for 6 blankets, 2 tarps and a roll of duct tape. Need to check trailer for lights etc.

Drew, I wonder if tractor salesmen are anything like RV salesman. Get ready for the lowball offer on your Kubota. Nice cow pictures. :D

Ed, good news on boy sleeping.

Randy, Our Montana was long wheelbase with all the option. Definitely not a sport package. My Chevy Captiva has a nice handling package for a crossover.

David, not having any seat time in over 3 weeks. I am envious of you getting some between raindrops.

Roy, get well soon.

Don and Kyle, glad storm missed you.

Prayers for all.

Good Morning All.

35 going to 41F. Wind WNW 13 mph. Mainly cloudy.

During the shopping trip today I gotta go to Canadian Tire and get me a couple of stick on convex mirrors. IF they are cheap enough I will get 4. There is a h u g e blind spot on the Dodge in the left mirror. A convex mirror will solve that.
I also need more coffee. Bulk Barn for that.

We made an 'executive' decision the other day and have all winter to put it together. The cats are now indoor cats. The fox prompted that decision. When we had the big dog, the predators stayed away from the house. No more big dog for about a year and the predators are getting bolder. Now don't get me wrong....I like foxes, but I don't like them having my cats for lunch.
I am going to screen in the deck including the kitchen window and front door. That way we can still get fresh air into the house in summer and the cats get their fresh air too, but wont be able to get off the deck. I will hardware screen the ceiling of it too, a couple of them like climbing and will figure a way to climb up and down the outside walls. I just have to figure out a way to remove the top screen for the winter.

Ed, when it comes to the boy, you are going to need to reinforce constantly until he gets it through his head that you aren't going to dump him. It wont happen 'overnight'.

Have a good day all
