Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

Those free blankets are a really handy size for covering a seat or wrapping a sharp end before you maneuver some cargo inside the vehicle

Any idea what they are made of? I don't think it's just a simple answer.

Outer seems to be some kind of synthetic fabric. Inner is probably ground up rags. In the bad ole days, HF had some awesome moving blankets - they were about 1/2" thick.

Reminds me of a sock package shown many years ago:

Made from miscellaneous fibers of undetermined origin

OK HF Connoisseurs, I need some information.

The yellow webbed straps with the metal cinch buckles that come in a two pack for a couple of bucks. If you wanted to find those cinch buckles only, what would you search for? I like the straps, but I have times when I only need one two or three feet long, not 10 or 12. Yeah, they're cheap, so I cut them to length. But then I have a bunch of pieces with no way to fasten them other than tying the ends together. I've done that in a few cases where I needed a strap longer than 10-12 feet. If I could find the cinch buckles, I could make more straps out of the shorter pieces.

I've searched for strap buckles, cinches and so on, but all I find are the chintzy plastic ones or some kind of d-ring thing.

How about these?

Not sure it is worth it not just to get the full package and repurpose the straps.

What does the Peanut Gallery think of the 2K inverter generator? I have a $350 Gift Card coming from the Class Action Settlement and I'm trying to decide between this or a bunch of little tractor related stuff. I'm not sure I want to bite the additional $150+ right now for the generator. With the smaller stuff, I could get it a bit at a time and use the 20% coupons to increase the effective GC amount.

From what I've seen, it's a winner.
