Good morning to all! Got our first frost / freeze this morning. Went to just 32, but had higher humidity so a light frost. Rest of the week will be lows around 35, highs 65-68. Nice break from the heat. Had a few light showers...you know...some of those 6" rains again....one drop every six inches. We are still in severe drought conditions.

Everyone in the path of the hurricane and rains stay safe and out of harms way. It's crazy how much rain the eastern third of the country has gotten.

Drew, you must have a storm magnet out in the garden....seems like these storms are aiming for your area! Sounds like you have a good plan in place for the garden next year.

Hope Coco has fun with her new frisbee and learned not to play with Pepe le' pew again.

Another new class of recruits at work started yesterday. Seems to be a good group. I'm back in again today for a longer day with them to do equipment training. These days go by real fast, but a lot of walking / standing. Then off for 2 days. Going in on Saturday all day doing driver training.

Everyone have a great day (hump day!). Prayers out for all, extras for those in the path of the storm.

The low this morning was 29° and we got about 4 more inches of snow. This is supposed to clear off and be partly sunny by the afternoon with a high in the mid 30's. They are showing mostly sunny days for the rest of the week.

This summer I reworked a sled to pack down the snow for the blower to ride on so I don't get in to the gravel. I think I have enough snow to see how it works. I'll try that later today and see.

I don't have much else planned for today.

Hope everyone has a good hump day.
CWB.

72°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 75° today before the bottom falls out later this afternoon. We'll be getting lows in the 30s by Sunday, with highs in the 50s. "Autumn" is finally arriving today.

We've used both the peroxide mix and Nature's Miracle for skunk issues with dogs. Both work pretty well. There's always some lingering smell, though, no matter how thorough you think you are. The people who used to live across the road had a golden retriever that would kill skunks without getting sprayed. He would run up and grab it, shake it a couple of times, and throw it in the air. When it landed, he'd run over and grab it again. Lather, rinse, repeat as necessary until it stopped moving. It was amazing to watch.

Be thankful you haven't had a 'frost' yet.
All it takes to get the moose moving is a frost.

Crisp air scent does travel.

66°F and no rain

Will spend the day rebuilding cabinet for my beer cooler. Over the years, the bottom has rotted out. Need two solutions: 1 built a better bottom that dries out better, 2 find a way that the cooler handles the moisture better.

Prayers for all , especially you hurricane folk.

Be safe

Have a great day

Sounds like you have your priorities in order today, David! Could you put an inexpensive plastic tub or oil drain pan in the bottom of the cabinet for the keg to rest in, then use brass tubing fittings to plumb a plastic drain line outside the cabinet?:confused3:

Drew, we used to use a 3ph spinner to plant oats, soybeans, grass, ect. for hay. They are fairly cheep and would work on your little massey or bigger. Like the fertilizer spreaders but smaller and made just for seeds.

I hope you all have a good night. Ed
