Good morning!!!!

70°F and .8 inches rain.
Need to finish installing new belts on the flail. Picked up a new tension adjustment bolt at Fastenal. Boy, made from gold given the price.

Thanks for all the input to my passing question. As expected, great stuff. I particularly liked the password manager suggestion. Keeping an upto date list in our file is near impossible as it seems they are constantly being updated. I’ll need one that works IOS and MacOS.
And the age thing just might be the most challenging. What may seem most appropriate now could be totally off as we age. Makes for good spousal discussion. Thanks

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

heavy rain started, will wash the truck nicely. Glad I decided to stay put and trust the forecast, it was spot on.
Door to garden shed ripped off hinges in hurricane, but the wood was rotten, didn't take much, was on my to do list, and now it has gone
much higher on the list as i watch this storm blow the door open again, my jury rig didn't hold.
I don't know if I can salvage the door or if it's easier to do a door and frame combo. It's the frame woodwork that's rotted out. Looks like puffy cardboard. I'll dig out all the bad wood and see what makes the most sense.

strange striations in this pic, like a topo map, must be lens distortion amplified by the heavy rain

Good Morning!!!! 80F @ 9:30AM. Sunny. High 93F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph.

My first high speed experience with good drivers was on England's M roads. People kept the the slow lane except to pass, and the speed limits were much higher because lane discipline was respected. In Europe, and especially Italy, people cooperate to move down the road as fast as possible. If you wanna drive the speed limit, you better stick to the slowest lane because people will tail gate, flash lights, and oh my, the hand gestures and waving arms you'll see! But traffic MOVES because drivers show consideration toward those who's desire to go faster does not match their own. I think it comes from the European habit of using everything they have to the best efficiency; high population densities will do that. That and the speed differentials, especially on the Auto Bahn can be many tens of miles per hour, which greatly increases the chances for severe injury if someone makes a mistake. But unfortunately that kind of thinking has never been part of America, where it's all "me first" and "to He11 with you" when it comes to lane discipline and mutual cooperation. Sorry, PJ, but dawdling in ANY lane is a safety hazard, especially if you're holding up the general flow of traffic. In the Golden State, you can be pulled over and cited if five or more vehicles are backed up behind you. And I don't think it matters what lane you're in, as it's even easier to pull over and let people pass if you're in the slow lane.

It's been so long ago I can't remember. Eric, since the British drive on the left, is the fast lane on M roads the lane all the way to the right?

The fuse panel and barrier strip came in yesterday's mail, so I drilled mounting holes and painted the plate they'll go on. Well, for the fuse panel anyway; I'd forgotten it has a built in rail of connections for grounding, so I won't need the barrier strip. And for some reason, Amazon sent two barrier strips when I only ordered one, and each came in a separate package. Talk about over delivering!:confused2::laughing:

Also finished up the other engine mounting stud, then installed them. Today I think I'll mount the engine/crash guards that use the mounting studs for support. They're currently unpainted, as I'll be mounting LED driving lights to them and brackets will need to be welded to them. And the brackets can't be positioned properly unless the guards are in place and the bike is sitting on both wheels.

As expected, the front end alignment didn't happen yesterday as promised. The excuse this time is that the alignment guy was running behind and couldn't get to it. Forgive me if I find that difficult to believe given the mechanic's past performance (or lack thereof). Today's the day. Maybe.

I've been using one called 1Password now for many years on both MacOS and iOS. Works very well and synchronizes via cable or WiFi between the devices as long as all the copies have been opened with their respective passwords. The developer is very active, keeping it updated with new features and upgrades as the underlying OSs change. :2cents:

I use Dashlane for my passwords. On MS and iOS. It works best with Windows. It does sync data to all my devices.

Not sure how you define "dawdling," but to me it surely isn't when I'm in the center or right lane driving the posted speed limit. That is, in fact, the fastest I can legally drive. Too many people don't believe that applies to them, and that by actually obeying the law I'm somehow the problem. If I'm driving the speed limit and others are not, it's not me who's creating a safety hazard. There is no argument in any language that will ever convince me I am in the wrong. Sorry, RNG, but I'll not be pressured into jumping off a bridge just because others around me are doing it.

... and I'd gladly show up in court over a citation for daring to obey the law.

Just how I am. There's more than one lane on pretty much every road. Feel free to pass. :D

Must bird season here. Turkeys have taken up home under pine trees. They were laying middle of road when I went out today. Thought one had been hit by a car. But it just got up when I got close. Sandhill Cranes did not leave back yard when I stepped out side. Stayed about 10’ away.

Need help from Thomas to get other animals to play in yard.

oh yeah PJ? Well wait til I suck your long green ponytail out your window as I thunder by in
my Maxxo 8000, those of us who own one own the road. 8000 hp and we can do 350mph.
what you got? (reminds me of an old joke about one's IQ being inversely proportionate to the loudness of one's muffler)

I'm often over in the right lane in light traffic. I've driven rigs trying to pull out and know to slow and flash my lights so they know it's ok to commit to the move into the right lane. While sadly there is hardly anyone in it, they are all clogged up in the other two lanes. No one is moving over to the right.

IMHO PJ, on a big six lane where there is no one else out there, you would be safer to move over. Otherwise bigger faster semis will tailgate the life out of you, they consider that middle lane their make time lane. Leave the slowpokes, hypermilers and seniors over in the right lane. In theory, but it doesn't work that way.

I think the reality is that if you are regularly getting passed on the right, you are in the wrong lane and should move over. Even if you are doing over the speed limit.
Must admit after saying that certain exceptions sure come to mind. Anyone ever try to keep up with rush hour DC Beltway traffic doing 15 over on those curves? I see them all as the lemmings PJ doesn't want to jump off the cliff with. Makes me put even more space between me and those ahead, more maneuver room in case of youtube video worthy catastrophes ahead of me, and more time to flash my brakes so I hopefully won't get rearended by someone on the phone behind me.

in between thunderstorms, it's booming out again now, I ran the loaner mower down to my friend's home on the River. Still a mess down there, saw piles like this everywhere. All her hvac ducts are out getting cleaned, just got a new hot water heater today.

Hahaha ... that green hair thing is never going away, is it. maybe I need a new pic with different stage lighting.

Your Maxxo 8000 will probably suck the paint right off of my little Kia Soul. Laugh maniacally as you go by, so I know it's you.
... and don't forget to "coal roll" me as well.
