Holy schmokes! You should never not ever have a problem with that leach field. Very Nice!

Yes, and the picture does not due it justice to how long the runs are. 70' long each. You would think it's for a hotel, but that's what was required.:confused3: I'm just glad it's behind me.

The trusses are supposed to be delivered today.:drink: The house should move along pretty quick now.

Here ya go. The drain field covered and the trusses have arrived.

Keep in mind, we added 12-14 inches of sand and I used the dome style drain field so the dirt will not fit back in. I'll need to wait until next spring when it's had a chance to get really wet and settle then fill and grade it out good. For now I see the mounds of dirt as jumps for my sledding addiction once it snows.

Looking at the mountains in the background you can see the leaves are turning.

Looks good Lynn and it's gotta be a good feeling to know you'll be dried in before the snow flies!
That looks like a fairly complicated roof truss pkg you got there. It's quite amazing what they can do with trusses that not that long ago required a bunch of interior bearing walls and/or a hand built rafter roof.

It seems like it's taking forever to get the trusses. They are supposed to be delivered next week.

I have been able to get the propane tank installed, the septic system and the front and back porches/patio's poured. And, the conduit for the power is installed. Total of 1300' with 450 of that going to a neighbor that is also building.

The down side.:mur:
The Health inspector gave us 4 criteria to meet for the septic system to pass. The first one contradicted the last one but we followed his instruction to the tee except for the first criteria. Well, he failed it and said the whole leach system needed to be lowered 1 foot. It's total BS!!! I read his instruction to him and his reply was; "I agree it was confusing and poorly written, but I can't pass this off". So I get to do the leach field again. To be clear the sewer from the house and septic tank and the line to the distribution box are fine. Just the leach field needs to lower. Still a royal PITA.

Here are a few pictures of the progress.

Propane tank.

Love the buried propane tank. That is on the list for my place next year. I hate looking at the thing and they are certainly safer underground.

Carpenters.....MAN YOUR NAILGUNS!!!

Yes, they need to be on the ready and get it dried in. Personally there is something satisfying about hammering nails with a wood handled hammer that I can not break away from. But in this case weather is on its way, nailgun away !

Yes, I have to carry a hammer on my tool belt at all times. Love the sound of it rattling around while I'm using the nail gun..... :)

I'm hanging OSB inside my shop now using an air stapler. Immeasurably more productive than a hammer.

My builder is hinting the framing could be done next week. He also says the plumber, HVAC and electricians are ready to get it done. All that could happen in the next week. I would expect to have it dried in by the end of the month or first part of October.

As Rustyiron stated; the truss package has all kinds of different sizes. It will be interesting to see it go up. The Master bedroom has a tray ceiling and the Great room has a higher ceiling along with being vaulted all the way out including the patio. I'm guessing that's why so many different trusses.
