Just curious as to how many people were turned off by the issues with xg3025?

What issues or recalls are you aware of? The only one I know is the engine casing hitting the frame due to very tight tolerances. However, that was resolved with all current tractors and all new tractors were corrected at factory with new design! My tractor is brand new and I just passed 30 hours and ordered all of my filters for the 50 hour service. I have to say I am very pleased with my tractor and I have been using it for "everything".

I had the recall done at 30 hrs. Have 70 hard hrs on machine now. There have been no problems. I have been very happy with the machine

That would be enough with that recall. Always be in the back of my mind when I look at an LS thinking what else did they mess up in designing something.

You have to do what makes you comfortable, however, I dont think it is fair to disqualify a manufacturer or model because of a recall.

Like most things, tractors are man made mechanical devices. Sometimes things break. That is why there is a warranty.

Recalls are good in that everyone knows the problem, parts and service procedures are released and the issue has to be covered for the life of the product.

The manufacturer is owning up to it not trying to keep it quiet until the warranty is out.

I feel it is better to read these forums, and talk to owners of several tractor manufacturers. You will quickly learn what manufacturers are good, bad and neutral when it comes to failures and dealer/manufacturers support.

I'm a Kubota guy, and there are tractors I will stay away from but LS is not one of them.

I think the only negative with LS is the dealer network.

Yeah there are things that make it to production that surprise me about all of them. Just hate the way things are - buy something and hope for the best seems to be the standard anymore.

I am sorry you feel that way 4tillingdirt. I do understand where you are coming from. I did extensive research before I picked the right tractor for me as well. All tractor manufactures will have issues, nobody is safe in those regards. However, like wagne223 pointed out. those are all really good valuable points he made.

What I will say is this. MAKE sure you actually get on the tractors you are really considering. This is critical and some stuff will pop out at you which will make you like it more, or cause you some concern. Either way, just looking at numbers and stats will not get you far.

I love tractors and I love most all manufactures. To me they all had pluses and minuses. I went with LS because it checked off all of the boxes that were most important to me and for how I would use the tractor. Kioti, Kubota, JD and others are all great options and should be looked at as well. I was not brand loyal and that also made my decision a little bit easier to make. But I am not going to lie, buying a tractor is not easy when you are fairly new to tractors and or don't really know what you need. My last tractor was my first and I had it for almost 10 years before getting the new LS 3025H with BH.

If you have any questions about this tractor, I know I would be more than happy to express my opinion and help answer your questions. Since you are in NC, I would also really consider BK tractors as they were at the top of my list and really comparable to the LS. They don't have dealers on the West Coast and I would be alone on service, recalls or mechanical repair issues that could arise.

However, that was resolved with all current tractors.

Do not believe the above quote I cannot get my fix resolved. However I am NOT leaking oil. I started calling LS back in Feb. because I want my tractor right. I also called a local dealer to push the fix and I did receive a call and was told he contacted LS. I kept calling LS back and just got tired of calling. I did manage to get a dealer to ship me out a shim kit but what I've learned is users are still experiencing the issue with the shim kit installed. I'm told there now a new subframe piece that will fix the issue. So maybe it's good I never got the service I deserve.

A few months later. I called LS again and never heard back from them again.

I went back to a different local dealer in August who contacted LS and I am told that I am "on the list". Still nothing. The dealer did tell me that people who experiencing the leaks are first in line so it may be a while. I told him that if I do not hear back by the end of year I'd call him back. I will place that call next week.

As for me? If I would have known that I can't get my machine fixed, I never would have bought LS. It's coming up on a year and no fix. Will this continue until my warranty expires? I was warned by many to purchase Kubota and I'm kicking myself. Penny wise and dollar foolish. I'm guilty.
