Hey Larry. One other thing I thought of, you are setting your mower up with an inch less spacers in the front than than the rear. That may be fine, but spec is the front of the blade should be level with the back of the blade, or no more 1/2" lower in the front and maybe your set up works out that way. Something to check. I have mine set level, with equal spacers all of the way around, and works perfect on mine.

Hey Larry The one thing that concerns me is that you say when you are running the flat or running down hill your rpm is running at 2200 rpm and you have it set at 2500 or full throttle. On mine if I set the throttle at 2400 rpm 540 pto speed, it mows there at that rpm no problem unless I get into some really thick stuff it might drop a little till I get through it. Not sure why yours would drop 300 rpm under full throttle and stay there under regular mowing conditions. Just trying to give you a comparison on 2 different Land Pride units so maybe you can find some answers. Ron.

Agreed, on level ground you should be able to maintain full rpm. Over 540 at the pto.

I had a large tree go down last December and I've been trying to find a way to get to it to haul the cut rounds back to our party camp area. Today I finally got a day dry enough to allow me in those slopes! I've got a good but if splitting to do with my new Woods HLS27 splitter tomorrow! I'm excited!

Good! I love this machine! The more time I spend on this thing (70 hours now since mid January) the more I realize how bad that BX25D was. That was a horrible machine for my kind of property and use. This thing is just so awesome in comparison. IMG_20180427_155627045.jpegIMG_20180427_161155664.jpegIMG_20180427_165509732.jpegIMG_20180427_165525691.jpegIMG_20180427_165547734.jpeg

People keep asking me if chains can be used with the larger tires on the B2650. I ran and took some photos so that you can look for yourselves. I'm not using chains and do not plan to. But to me it looks like there is plenty of room with the Kubota 1.5" spacers that are in mine.

While the countdown is 7 months past, the tractor is at 155 hours and working hard almost every day. Today was brush hogging at the in-laws house. It's 4 acres of relatively flat ground with some swampy mud thrown in for fun.

At 155 hours on the clock, I've got to say that this machine is wonderful! It's a work horse for sure and it never ceases to amaze me.

I've honestly not had any issues beyond a couple fittings leaking in the very beginning, and then a couple minor issues that were user induced. The machine has been a complete beast, and I'm expecting it to keep being a beast for at least a few thousand more hours. I'm expecting to see around 300 by the end of this year, and similar next year. After that, my use time should back down by at least half as my major project is expected to be completed by the end of 2019.

I really love my little bull!IMG_20180707_124935692.jpegIMG_20180707_145421013_HDR.jpegIMG_20180707_174100576_HDR.jpegIMG_20180707_174117894_HDR.jpegIMG_20180707_174228261_HDR.jpeg

Glad your getting your use out of it Larry. I just turned 30 hrs on mine tonight moving a few buckets of pea gravel. I’m not using it as much as I thought or as much as my bx. I need to find some work for it.

Have fun!

Great to hear your problem free. So is mine (200 hours since August 2016)...most of my time is snowblowing in a nice warm cab.

I'm going to wash it in December, then it will be parked and for the most part done working for a couple months. It's been covered in mud, silt, dust and dirt for so long... I forget what it looks like clean and shiny. I'll likely need new tires next year because I'm getting deep gouges and slices in the R4 tires from working it in sharp concrete, rebar and asphalt debris. I hate to see what that will cost! I'm guessing $1,500 for tires.... It's like having a second Jeep since my Jeep tires are almost $375 each and I replace the most damaged 2 every spring.

My 200 hour service is coming at me fast, I think that just like the 50 hour service, I'm going to take the 100% fluids and filters approach to this. I'll do front axle, fuel filter, both HST filters and fluid, air filter and engine oil and filter. After that, I'll start following the manuals chart.

This has been an interesting thread to follow....and I received some helpful info here.

My B2650 has worked flawlessly since the dealer ....finally.....got the assembly issues fixed. It only has about 40 hours on it since I still use the B2620 for some chores ........and........it has been so dry that the B2650 has not been needed for mowing all that much.

Keep on tractoring guys.
Mike

Good to see your B2650 is working out for you Larry. I just turned 900 hrs on my 2015 B2650, and have had zero problems. The tractor has worked flawlessly doing all kinds of tasks. I keep it maintained and do all of the services, and surely expect to get thousands of hrs on it.

That is some good hours being put on the machine. I hope to be able to say the same thing as I crack 1,000 hours. I don't really expect any major issues, these B2650 tractors are old school with minimal electronics and maximum steel. I see no reason that this isn't a 5,000 hour service life machine if maintenance is kept up and the user doesn't physically destroy it. That is part of what attracted to this.

My father in law has had Ford and International tractors much larger than mine, and he admits that he is pleasantly surprised at how much work this comparatively little Kubota can do. Over all, the B2650 is just a great little machine as long as your needs are able for within realistic expectations of this size of machine.

I love my big B!

Oh, almost forgot... I did wash it today, cleaned the grease mess up a bit around the pins, and.... Yes.... I waxed it! It gets to start it's work week tomorrow morning with clean and shiny paint! It will be filthy by the end of tomorrow, but I at least got to see it cleaned up and shiny for a few hours today. It's been a long time since I saw shiny orange paint

I took a couple yesterday after it's work day was over. It's dry right now, so no mud... It actually still looks good after working.IMG_20180709_190106131.jpegIMG_20180709_190115875.jpeg

So, my father is 68 and retired and he hangs out in my garage/driveway most week days along with my dog waiting for dump trucks to bring in material, and then he uses my Kubota to move and manage that material.

The issue is that he has pretty debilitating neck and spine arthritis that very much limits his ability to look upwards, and more importantly... To look back. So when on the Kubota, he really can not look behind him without a lot of pain and by turning his hips and entire upper body.

I've been telling him that I was going to find a way to make the tractor easier for him to use, so this evening after work I grabbed some scrap 1"x1" angle and made a bracket that sticks up 14" and out 9" with a curved wide angle mirror mounted to it.

This is what I've come up with so that it is high enough and out far enough for him to be able to get a decent view behind, to mount with 2 spare factory bolts in the right side loader upright, and be able to be removed for trail work in about 30 seconds. It's not exactly pretty, but he came over this evening and sat on the machine and loved it!

I'll paint it kubota orange this weekend so that it looks at least a little better, but I think that this will help a lot. I wish they had those factory bolts on the left side, I'd mount a second one over there. I'm afraid to modify the loader in any way for fear that it would contradict the warranty and the KTAC insurance coverage. I'll think on it a bit, maybe I'll say to heck with it and drill holes to mount another mirror.

Even my garage toad likes it! You can tell by the big happy smile on his face!

Pictures, or it never happened....IMG_20180711_210102604.jpegIMG_20180711_210119672.jpegIMG_20180711_210211865.jpegIMG_20180711_210319838_LL.jpegIMG_20180711_210403019.jpegIMG_20180711_210535250.jpeg

7 months and 200 hours. The thing is getting it's balls worked off! At 2650 psi hydro relief pressure, it works good and hard. 20180910_184422.jpeg
