Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #78,241
lots more coming hopefully Ed, but I never know. Now the Okra is starting to pour in. Each day the haul increases. When all thirty plants are pumping out, I think I'll need a big pail.

I came in at three, 99 degrees out, got cleaned up, had an ice cream cone to cool off, and then chilled out. Just went out in relative cool of evening and gave Subaru a good overdue scrub.
Might be last time I do this as I got a message saying my Audi was built Friday before last so maybe two to three weeks out.

I found some really weird local meat that I just had to take a picture of.
But I also picked up a couple of boneless prime rib steaks for tomorrow that looked much more appealing
than this concoction. I grew up with scrapple, another heart annihilator, and just can't eat that any more, no matter
how crisp you make it. Feel like I'm injecting fat into my veins.
I'd need a nuclear winter before I ate this stuff....

Good evening all. 80F for the start, mostly clear, and light wind. Clouds increased till noon, then cleared off, wind was erratic today, and high temp today was, you guessed it 100F. High pressure is supposed to break down Wednesday, but even if it does, heat index will still be 96-98F. Also had a trace of rain last night after posting. Started off with choir, then mowed lawn, lunch and nap. Got notified boat is at dealer, they expect to have it ready for pickup tomorrow.
Don, where is this mythical triathlon bike?:confused3:
Prayers for all.

92 today heat index was 104. Currently 79 and I’m sitting here sweating as hard as earlier.

Currently watching a water tank fill. It has feed trays in it for helper to wash tomorrow. We’ll let them soak overnight then he’ll hose them off.

Well 20 acres of hay cut and tedded yesterday. Baled 77 bales today still about 4 acres left to bale. Was still too green and wet to bale. Pushed some that was a little wet but by letting them set for a couple of weeks in the field they’ll be fine. They’ll go through their first heat and if one gets too hot it’ll just burn 1 bale not the whole crop. But I didn’t bake them that green.

Still about 5 acres to cut.

Should be enough for this winter, with my leftovers.

Calf that was delivered to butcher last week weighted 995 lbs. He was 17 months old. Should be some good lean meat.

I went to check on it today and the bike shop was closed - Sunday and Monday. Stay tuned.
The bike shop said the handlebars alone are worth $100, you know the kind that that the ends meet together in front of the bike, one continuous loop - can't find a pic of them on the internet - they must be rare. But I bet Ed could mill one.

I did start the spinning class today inside, 101 outside, and pretended to race you for 25 minutes on a cool fall day. How many miles are you from Georgetown?

l Just went out in relative cool of evening and gave Subaru a good overdue scrub.

That Subaru does look good. I just spent $1000 on my Subaru Forester for it's 90K maintenance (at 100k miles) and a new set of tires. . . but I sure could use a navigation on board in this new area. I have a Garmin but the screen is too small and my wife has to do the navigating.

Someone really knows how to mess up the word - pudding.

Good morning all , weather is stuck in goundhog day mode. In the almost never ending winter, I never thought I would be getting bored by all this sunshine.

Good luck if you have to go baling damp Farmer - hay making is so much easier in England :D Seriously though, it's getting bad here for many with livestock. No grass growing, some are having to start using next winters feed already.

Drew, so you weren't tempted by Pender's pudding ?
There is no better place than Good morning to stimulate the mind in unexpected directions, I certainly didn't expect to be asking Google "how much does a pig's spleen weigh" while eating breakfast. (Some answers here Spleens)

Sorry Don, that paper doesn't seem to have any pudding recipes :)

72 right now...high in the low 90's. One or two more days of this heat wave...then a cooling period....can't wait...

   / Good morning!!!! #78,248
76 now. Expect 96 with a heat index of 100 or so. Yesterday was nice. Decided to throw a chair into the pool and sat there for a good long while. Today need to move some wood around and take some measurements on the run-in.
Have a great day all. Be safe and stay cool.

Good morning all, 71 going to 92 with a 20% chance of T-storms. Supposed to be in the 70's by the weekend, glad for that. Need to work on the other bag of corn today, also need to get the boy's CD changer set up. He loves his music.

Don, the handle bars would likely be bent tubing and not machined but thanks for the vote of confidence.

Praying that everyone has a great day and for healing for those in need. Ed

No, I wasn't tempted for sure, and when I mistakenly ate some blood pudding sitting purply on the side of my plate, and then asked what it was,
well my trip to London almost had me gagging. How could such a smart country have such awful food? (as we discuss this heart stopping pork glop)
All those bangers, hoping to grow up to be
Penders Pudding. Deep fried fish and chips everywhere. Seemed like the whole country ate nothing but bar food. Shepherds Pie full of mystery meat
and an off odor. Versus going to France where you want to say "would you get on with it and bring me some real food?"...plate looks pretty while you starve to death.
of course the world probably thinks we in the US live on McDonalds and pizza and tacos.

Time for a banana and yogurt.

Today is distribution day for the food pantry and I'm going to pack a dozen quart baggies
of the remaining blue potatoes for the volunteers, let them go home
and make red white and blue potato salad this year.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 63° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 90° with partly cloudy skies. Yesterdays visit with Aunt and Uncle was good as always. Plans for today are prep and visit to doctor for another test.

Ed, I am always looking for projects. Found one yesterday. Need a upper adjustable stop for 3PH on tractor. When using fail mower and raising up 3PH. Plastic sleeve on PTO shaft start making clattering noise. Now that I need it. I have to decide what to make it out of. Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum or HDPE plastic. Plastic may win. It's as tough as aluminum and easy to machine.

Drew, somebody is going to get a very nice car.

Framer, best wish for full recovery from your surgery. In 2009 I had the same surgery. Best thing that happened to me. For over 20 years I had what appeared to be Flu couple times or more a year. After surgery no more flu attacks or indigestion problems.

Don, new bike is would be almost like a new car. :D

Prayers for all those in need.

Good Morning All.

Good morning!

102 yesterday, they say 92 or do today, hope it’s cooler on the cruise to Tangier, I hate to sit in the cabin in the a/c for the trip.

Prayers for all, Buppies, watch that sun!

   / Good morning!!!! #78,255
Have fun Randy, those crab cakes should be awesome...
pics of food and fish please

Tangiers is an island fishing community in the lower Chesapeake Bay, slowly fading away, though I think the tourists help.

Good Morning!!!! 65F @ 5:15AM. Sunny. High near 90F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

The southerly winds have picked up the smoke from the wildfires, turning the view murkey and getting my nose running. Might end up having to keep the doors and windows shut, even in this cool morning air.

   / Good morning!!!! #78,257
The low was 45* this morning, it made it up to 85* yesterday and party cloudy in the afternoon. Looks like today is going to be about the same, maybe a little warmer.

Going into town this morning for wife's therapy and do some shopping. Not sure what I'll do the rest of the day.

Hope everyone is ready for the holiday.
CWB.

   / Good morning!!!! #78,258
Was 75 earlier when I went out...cooler today, only 96 rather than yesterday's 99.

Got started before sunrise on shoveling the gravel I picked up yesterday at the quarry into the FEL and taking back to cover the top of the trench. All done on French Drain #2. Plan to do one more.

Two of my sons urged my wife and I to watch a series, "Westworld." We did a marathon yesterday afternoon, and finished season #1. Weird, but interesting story, and beautiful Utah scenery. We'll probably start season 2 this afternoon since it will get too hot to do much outside.

So, spleen and liver makes pudding? I'd rather have bananas in mine :).

PJ, your storm sounds pretty scary.

Randy, hope there is a good breeze on Tangier Island...it will be scorching otherwise.

Used to work with a big guy. 6’4” about 350. Shoulders wouldn’t fit through a 36” door unless he twisted a little. We went into a high end restaurant in Kansas City, MO. He ordered a non priced entree.(nothing was priced). They brought him a very nicely ordained plate that you could still see over half the plate. The waiter left and he says: “look at me and look at this plate. No wonder rich people are skinny. They’re starving to death.” He stopped at a drive thru when he left there.

71 this morning and headed to 88 today.

Will be finishing hay baling and probably load up some scrap metal for a later delivery. Need to call and see when I can get truck in the shop. The tensioner pulley on the a/c broke and it needs O2 sensors. Big audit next Tuesday. So have a few odd jobs to finish for that.

Ron. Glad it worked for you. Most of my pain is gone. Still have a little with certain task. So nice not to have constant stomach pain. Still have gerd. Most of my problems now are with learning what I can eat again. But I have figured out that I can’t eat and get hot. Used to it didn’t bother me. Now it does.
