Back in house. 92° outside. 78° inside with AC on. Spent 3 hours at neighbor place. Pushed all the compost that had collected over the years in to a low area. It was one of those times I wish I had a larger tractor. The compost were 5' high. Then rototilled the cleared area. They had planted a Wisteria shrub next to a power pole. It had roots running all over the place. Tiller did the job on them. But there are some of them darn roots warped around tines. Tomorrow morning I will take a pair of loppers to that mess.

Carpenter/Wood Bee report. 2 traps have 4 or more bees in them. Another has 2 bees and 4th one has 1. I have killed 6 or more with the Brakeleen. I think I am winning. But seem to see them almost anywhere I go in my neighborhood.

Will you AC get your house any cooler or is that what you have it set at.

That's what it is set at. It's a compromise. Betty wants it 84°. I want it 75°. I have the pass-code to make changes. She can put a sweater on. :confused2:

Lots of kinds of peas, and lots of different preferences from person to person. I'm quite fond of blackeyed peas, and I like any and all of them, but first choice is the young ones with some snaps. When I had a big garden, I let a friend pick his own and he only wanted the big ones with the shell starting to turn yellow. And my youngest brother loves blackeyed peas, but he prefers the dried ones.

I've never grown any snow peas, but I sure eat'em.

my involvement in these forums will come to an abrupt halt until next October or November.

We all agree that is simply unacceptable. :D Perhaps a laptop to take with you?
Where else will I get my Northern Ontario news?

Safe travels in June.

Thanks, Drew. I will be online occasionally but not daily. Probably whenever I run out of hours in my comic books.:D

I got a little bit of mowing in today, mostly whacking down Russian olive. After about 2 hours in 90 degree heat, and probably 100% humidity, I came in to relax. And shower, I was soaking wet.

Good evening all. 74F for the start, calm wind, few clouds in the sky. Sky cleared, wind increased to a moderate level high temp of 96F and lake got busy. Went to chapel this morning, cooked breakfast, did maintenance of bike, and napped today.
Ron sounds like the same thermostat discussion as here.
Prayers for all.
