Good morning. It seems we are in for a day of thunder storms, with already over 15,000 strikes to the south of us in the last 5 hours, although I have as yet to see a single flash outside.

I set this laptop set to click each time there is a strike. It's now clicking away almost as fast as the day our physics teacher approached me with a Geiger counter while trying to find a mysterious radioactive source. The culprit was my WW2 era watch that had just been passed on to me by my dad. As well as the relatively harmless alpha radiation that made the dial glow in the dark, it was also a gamma source stronger than the school specimens that were carefully stored in lead boxes. Mr Curtis told me to loose the watch ASAP. I don't think I ever thanked him properly for that advice. Thanks Mr Curtis !

LS Must be pretty dark where you live, are you sure you have enough LEDs on your Jeep ?

Cookout went very well, both kids, spouses and grandsons, as well as Lynn’s brother with his new wife and Ellen and I. Chicken, burgers and dogs, homemade potato salad, deviled eggs, baked beans, corn on the cob and homemade Mac and cheese. Then cupcakes and ice cream. I’m still stuffed.

Good morning all, 67 going to 83 with a 70% chance of heavy rain. Rained for a few hours yesterday and it never washed the pollen off the car. Pool is filled and running, wife wants to go swimming today even though the pool temp is 73. I think I will pass. Going to take it easy today, I hope.

Don, this unit is called a _____ split system and I understand it has the same tec as the mini split that Mitsubishi puts out. Comes in up to a 5 ton.

72 going to 86 and storms...had a brief one yesterday afternoon.

Stayed too windy to spray...now I'm about 10 days behind schedule, since it was too wet and now too windy...I did notice a lot of freshly sprouted grass and weeds, so being delayed to spray may become a good thing. Since I could spray, took the tractor down to the bridge and hand shoveled 4 loads of sand and gravel from the creek to spread on my path.

Ed, glad you're feeling good about your new system/technician.

Eric, cool website...I watching the lightning strike of the storm that is passing through eastern Virginia now...seeing the entire world map alive with lightning is a treat.

LS, that's a lot of mulch. Seems like there would be a shortage of it in your area since fewer trees.

Need to pour first cup of coffee. 60° with some fog this morning. Heading to 90° with lots of sun. By the time I got tiller on tractor it was to late in day to go to neighbors place. On the list today. Never got the thunderstorms forecast until midnight. But little if any rain.

Good Sunday morning all.

another hot sticky one, 73 going up to 88 with showers tonight.
Area flood watch for tomorrow, 2 to 4 inches of rain from Alberto going up the coast.
We got half an inch yesterday after I watered the garden, with a flood watch think I'm pretty safe
to hold off on the hose today.

And I have held off an extra day to pick peas so I can get more garden/shelling peas instead of edible pod/snow peas. I'm not going to shell them but the locals love them. And then a small amount of "cool beans" the red and green ones, to pick.
Want to spend today outside since tomorrow for sure will be a washout.

Good morning, hope you all are having a good weekend.
Family going home later today, we might go to Ellen’s brothers cookout depending on weather. It’s a rolling affair, drop in anytime between 2-8.
Thought my blend door had gone bad on my Borrego because I was getting cold air on the drivers side and warm on the passenger. Turns out a Shraeder valve has a very slow leak and when the system detect slow pressure it defaults cold air to the driver.
Gotta get moving, Ellen is sleeping and doggie wants out. Have a good day.
