Well, took a half day off work to go to the dealer to look over the tractor one more time and fill out some paperwork before I talked myself out of spending that much money. He should have all the paperwork done by tomorrow then all that's left is for them to load the tires and I'm switching out backhoe buckets. They weren't sure if they had a 16" in stock so might have to wait for that then figure out when the best time to deliver would be!

Post some pics when you get it home. Congrats!

Got my tractor today and couldn't be happier. Played with it for awhile just getting familiar with it. Once I figure out bow to post pics, I will.

Glad you are enjoying it. The more I run mine the better I like it. Getting accustomed to the HST more and more.

I have the Kioti CK4010 SEHC and am still learning, even after 78.5hrs on the tractor. But these Kioti Tractors are extremely well built and a pure joy to work with. In those 78.5 hrs I built gravel pads for two garages, box bladed 850 feet of gravel road. Drilled +90 holes for 6" posts and installed about 500 feet of new fence line. Removed about 35 stumps by grinding. Installed two major security gates. There is almost no limit to how much you can do with these tractors. This is my first tractor.....and just 7 months into retirement.

The dealer I'm looking at is also a Hew Holland dealer that's been around since 1977. I believe he said they took on Kioti back in 2010. I got a really good impression from them and haven't heard anything bad from people who have bought and get service from there. The next dealer is across the border in N.Y. and is actually the same distance away. I called this morning to compare prices and they were only 100 bucks cheaper and just from my 5 minute conversation, I didn't care for the guy I talked to. He was very pushy and didn't seem to want to do the financing. Kept telling me to pay cash or go through my bank instead of using Kioti financing options.

Was the dealer in NY Jim’s Equipment or Joe’s Signs?

I got my ck2610 at jims equipment I have nothing but good to say. Jim took the time to go over everything with me on operation and servicing it.

Does the CK3510 have a DPF or not? This review claims they met the emissions without one or does he not know what he's talking about?

2016 Kioti CK3510 Cab Review
"The 111.4-cubic-inch powerplant uses common rail (CRDI) technology to achieve EPA Final Tier 4 (FT4) compliance without the need for a diesel particulate filter (DPF) or the additions of a secondary diesel exhaust fluid (DEF)."

Yes, it does. The switch to enable the DPF regen is the one to the right of the hazard light switch in the article's picture of the dash (bottom right of dash). It's covered in section 4 of the owner's manual, and the part # for the filter is F5850-25101.

Ok, thanks. I read the article and was like how could they have gotten by without one.

This tractor is on my short list to purchase within a year. Dealer quoted me a "cash" price of $26,400 for the HST version with FEL, back hoe, and 6 foot box blade.
Good price or not?

I paid a couple hundred more for the CK3510SE (FEL+Back hoe), but no box blade. Dealer originally quoted me $2k less for the Std CK3510 with the same setup. A decent box blade is what, ~$900?

YMMV.

Haven't personally priced anything since 2014 but based on other quotes I've seen posted here - seems reasonable.

Our older CK35 (gear) was $17.5, add $1k for HST, $800 for a good BB and you're at $7,100 for the BH which sounds reasonable. Now if you factor in any other additional things like filled tires, rear remotes, floor mat, extending 3pt arms, etc. that add more value to the package then I think you're doing pretty good.

Very confusing to a non tractor owner. I am learning as I go and my short list includes the Kioti or a Mahrindra 1538 for about $2k more.

Not a bad price. I paid more for the same setup minus the box blade. I only have a touch over 20 hours on mine so far and am very happy with the purchase. Kioti makes a good machine.

I paid 26K even for the CK3510 HST, W/ KB 2475L backhoe with mechanical thumb, linked pedals, cruise control and 4010 FEL. I've been very happy with it and use it at least once a week.

IIRC, the Mahindra 2538 was a bit larger than the CK3510. Gotta watch out with the Mahindras - the lower HP tractors in a series (1500, 2500, etc...) tend to be on smaller frames than the higher-HP models in the same series. It seemed to me that most other manufactures kept the same frame size within a particular series. Not a 'problem', per se, but just something to be aware of. That's why I was originally interested in the upcoming Mahindra 1635 - 35hp on the smaller frame of the 1526. The current 1533/1538 are larger than the 1526, though I think the 2538 is a bit larger still than the 1538...

Today spent some time sitting on a 2538 and 2638 Mahindra. I am only 5' 10 and found the seating and petal arrangement best suited for maybe someone 5'5 or shorter. Even with walking shoes on it very uncomfortable to lift my feet up and use the foot controls. Seat was pushed all the way back. Felt like I was sitting in a sub compact car with the seat pulled forward. The 2538 was a little better but not by much.

At this point in time going to concentrate on a Kioti 3510 HST but will take a look at a Kubota as well
