Those of you with allergies.

Did any ever take allergy shots? What where your results?

Currently finishing the buildup process to maximum dose. Still on allergy medicine and being told I’ll need the shots at max dose monthly for atleast 3 years. Then I shouldn’t need allergy medicine more than seasonal after that. Currently on 3 different allergy medications.

Last night I had significant cramps. Hopefully things will get better today.

I get cramps in my legs and feet often. I use a concoction of tonic water and orange juice mixed 1/2 and 1/2 every other day and that seems to keep the cramps at bay.

Are any of you drinking cherry juice as a health benefit? I really hadn't heard of such until recently when my 88 year old neighbor told me his home health nurse recommended it. So my wife and I have been drinking about a cup a day.

The Health Benefits of Tart Cherry Juice

This Cheribundi Tart Cherry Juice is the one we're drinking, although we get it cheaper at Walmart than the Target price.

At least, it tastes good.

76°F and .16 inches rain

Gorgeous day ahead promising to put my butt in my new Tractor seat for some mowing.

Seat install proved frustrating - until I finally figured out some factory clown installed one of the rails backwards.

Prayers for all

Be safe
Have a great day

How do you like your Soul?

It's been very good to me.

Wait ... you're asking about the car, aren't you. It's also been very good to me. Bought it new in 2014. It's small enough to get decent gas mileage, and still roomy enough to carry music gear. Even with all the stop-and-go "rush" hour traffic most days, I still average around 39mpg.

My only complaint is a rattle in the dash that developed about three months after I got it. It's over the gauge cluster, but the dealer can't seem to quiet it. In fact, every time they try, it only gets worse. After the last time it was in for service and they tried again, it now has a rattle on the passenger side as well. I asked the service guy about it again today, and he told me it would be $135 to check it out, but since it was raining this morning he couldn't guarantee they would be able to hear it. I reminded him that it had been doing this since it was new, but he insisted that because it was so far out of the warranty for that he would have to charge the fee. I told him, "Well then, don't bother." I like the car and got a great deal on it, but this dealer's service department is not exactly top shelf in my experiences.

Talked with wife about her hip pain. Been off her prescribed meds 5 days but still rainy n her CBD, both the oil and ointment. Reports pain level as down to about a 2 level, more of an irritant. She’s even thinking about resuming her morning walks.
Still scheduled for cortisone shot next week.

I just crossed 15 hours on the ZD1211 yesterday. So far, I知 very happy with it. I致e ordered a set of Oregon Gator mulching blades for it. That should improve the cut even more.

I created a new thread about it here if youæ±*e interested.

My La Crosse WS has not been reading rain amount correctly. I removed the top collector from the rain and wind sensor. While there was nothing in the collector. The little spoon like sensor under collector had collected a lot of dust. That turned to mud when it rained. After cleaning rain amounts agree with my Stratus rain gauge.
Randy or others that purchased the one sold at Sams Club may want to check theirs.

So far mine seems close to the NWS Airport gauge a mile away, of course a mile can mean a huge difference. Thanks for th3 heads up.

...

Not me. Daughter. Severe asthmatic problems. Decided to try allergy shots. Took them for 18 months. Now three years later no booster shots and no issues. Ask her if it was worth it this time of year and the answer is 100 percent yes.

I found out that I didn’t actually get the Prevnar 13, but the standard shot, twice, long story. Getting it and the new shingles shot first round, tomorrow.
I get the flu shot every year, still got &lu last year, 3 days in the hospital. I’ve been the opposite, more time in the hospital since retirement.

"......... Sheç—´ even thinking about resuming her morning walks.
Still scheduled for cortisone shot next week."- David

That's really good news.:) Sophie's getting her life back one step at a time. I hope she keeps improving on a daily basis. She reads to be a survivor. It would be great if she could discontinue the cortisone injections at some point.

All kinds of decent non-political scientific research is now going on regarding the potential medical uses for marijuana.

My self experiment of one with the CBD probably violates almost all of the basic threats to experimental design and potential statistic gathering. It may be messing with my blood sugars, but right now "The 'Self Improvement' Plan" itself is probably messing with my sugars more. My blood sugars are no longer "boring stable." Now they are jumping around a bit as I tweak the doings. It's a unit tweak here; or unit there Next month I get the bloodwork.

I am religious about the flu and pneumonia shots, but I can not take the shingle vaccine, because of my auto-immune challenges:(. From what I have heard and seen I hope that I never get it.

I got half of the pear tree pruned before it started showering. Storm cells are starting to bubble up around the area. It's probably time to switch gears and start thinking about the dairy less cream of mushroom soup I am cooking tonight.

Mowed my lawn this morning (lunch break from work) and found the 8" deep ruts about 10' long coming off the county road into my lawn by the shop. My neighbor had some round rock delivered and apparently the truck driver decided he needed to pull into my lawn to dump where she wanted some of it. I went over and asked her to fill the ruts in please... It is the second time it has happened. I might have to put some no trepassing signs up to help these city folks understand you can't trespass and leave ruts.

Bird, I drink the tart cherry juice almost every day, but I put it in some other fruit drink to dilute it about four
to one. It's a bit much for me to drink straight. It goes on 2 for 1 sales and I stock up when that happens.
Supposed to be very good for us.

After working in the garden I then scraped my front porch steps and the entire gazebo floor and benches. Peely gray paint, what a miserable job, using the shop vac
to suck up the paint so it didn't go all over the yard. Scraped and painted for several hours and that finished me off. But I did get some sticky gloss light grey oil deck paint down and that should hold it for another year. All the places that peeled got direct sun light. Thankfully most of the front porch is in the shade and is fine.

Rear of the house was powerwashed by my neighbor, and he really does a nice job. Sparkly white again.
Good for six months, then it all starts to turn green again.

Spray it down with Tilex or a nice bleach. A bottle sprayer will do. Don't wash it off.

That should last a lot longer than six months.

I think it's normally $4.68 at Walmart and I stocked up recently when the bottles had $2 off tags on each bottle.

you sure did better than I did. It's a ridiculous 7 bucks a bottle retail at Food Lion and I won't buy it unless it goes on sale,
for about 3.50 a bottle.

Oops, I made a small mistake. It's actually $4.98 instead of $4.68 at Walmart. And I got $2 off each of the bottles I've bought so far. I'm not sure how many bottles we've already drunk, but I do still have 6 unopened bottles on hand.

That’s what I do, low pressure sprayer with 1/8 bleach to water.

Good evening all. 70F for the start, overcast and windy. Rain began about 9:30 and lasted through about 12:30, temp dropped to 64F during rain and got about 1/2 inch of rain. No hail but plenty of thunder and some lightning. High temp was 79, gusty wind till sunset and clear skies after rain ended. Slow start but did some consulting waiting for rain to stop, and did get nap :)
Prayers for all.
