What could I grow on 15 acres

Someone is renting 15 acres close to me that I want for the barn and land around it to store and work on my classic car collection.
The rent is $12k/year over what I'd pay for my current shop, so to make it worthwhile, seems to me I need to grow something
in a year that would sell for $20k. Any workable ideas? They are not keen for a long-term lease, which seems rather incompatible
with farmland, so it needs to be a short-term cash crop. And of course, can't spend on capital equipment either.
I googled it, and didn't seem to find any obvious winners

Find someone who knows how to farm to sublease from you. You don’t need another hobby on top of tractors, old cars etc.
Farming 15 Acres seems like a fast way to eat up time and your money.
If you want a sure thing, pass out carts at Walmart a few hours a week. You will be time and money ahead and it may get you a deal on health insurance! Haha

The reason you can't find any obvious winners is that there aren't any.

I have no experience with "wacky tobaccy," but I suspect it is labor intensive.

AND the fact that you didn't already know THAT, means you will be starting out with zero experience making it much harder!

Plant giant sunflowers on it and consider it a gift back to the world. It won't take a lot of work on your part and will feed a lot of birds and will also be really pretty for a couple of months. The big thing too is it will limit the amount of money you "lose" on this endeavor.
