well, five hours outside in mid 40's temps and I'm a bit chilled, thankfully the sun stayed out.
And amazingly, when it all plugged together, the little green lights went on.
And the fence charger wasn't just clicking, it was snapping! The connectors were bolt on, which is no good if
the solar panel can't keep up with demand. I suppose I could do something intelligent like figure out the draw from the charger but
I thought I'd wait a week and see if it was still running. The not so intelligent route, but I have potatoes to cut up.

I think the taters are ready when the eyes are poking out of the burlap. Drinking two cups of hot coffee and several of my MIL's excellent
oatmeal raisin cookies, and if that revives me, I'm off to cut up those potatoes.


Solar charger pretty easy to install, just took my time and self tapping screws bit into metal roof nicely. Have no idea if the angle is optimized, if need be, I suppose I could turn the building a little. I need David/Sodamo here as a consultant for sure. But the winky lights went on, and I went ahhhhh.
I still have holes to plug and some neatening. Came with 30 foot extension cables which I cut off at 3 feet...but silly to have all that unnecessary resistance in the line though it was clearly HD enough for 30 amps as rated. Not like the panel puts that out. 100 watt panel

My old friend from PA reminded me to not forget the drip loops. Thankfully I didn't.

btw, South is about the direction the golf cart is heading

Talked to Joyce this morning. She wants me to come and stay for a couple of days. I really like her, but she痴 never going to stay here and that isn稚 home to me anymore. But she is a tall raven haired slender girl, my age but looks 40. I don稚 think I can do double duty anymore!!

Randy- The car looks to be in really nice shape. Good luck with it. Good luck with your female friends too. I give you a lot of credit balancing everything.

Drew- Good luck. You're probably more personable and attractive than you believe. I like your solar panel setup. Your panel orientation looks decent. My solar panels point more southwesterly than true South. They seem to work ok, even covered with snow.

Today's snow management is done. My body is disputing the "light & fluffy" snow description. Those predicted "snow squalls" are not hopping the Berkshire "Mountains" very successfully today.

My very talented BIL who did my avatar made a nice birthday card for me that I wanted to share.

68 years, amazed I made it this long.

thank you Jay, that's kind of you.
I once tried one of those over 55 online dating sites and got bombarded with replies, a
real frenzy. I showed pics of the farm hoping for an outdoor lady and what I got was every
golddigger in the world. Never did that again; I'm just too private. Like advertising myself
as a piece of beef.

Of course my last wife answered a little personal ad I put in the local paper
saying Captain looking for First Mate for a life of love and adventure
No boat now, that won't work again...
And clearly my late wife was never a First Mate, she quickly assumed
the title of Admiral. I got her to live aboard a boat in South Florida for three years so
she could make up whatever title she wanted.

Good afternoon, Wife finely went to the new Dr. We made the appointment last year and this was as soon as they could work in a new patient. She got there and instead of doing his job he started slamming Trump. Told my wife to vote for Burney and things would get better. Then told her she needed to budget and get insurance. Then kept telling her she could not afford to do blood work, it would cost to much money. She left feeling beat and did not get the care she needed for her lips and upset tummy. After she got home she called and canceled my appointment and they called and tried to talk her into staying with the practice. Do I need o say I am MAD. Glad I was not the one who went. I would likely have said something that I would have regretted.
Wife stopped in to see mom and she was throwing a fit because the woman in the room with her had med. problem and she did not sleep well. Kept making rude comments about it. Wife tried to help her with some things and just left. Glad I did not go or I would have said something I would have regretted.
OK Rant over but still MAD. I will soon get over it, but I get mad when people are rude to my wife.
