Good morning!!!!

Need a second cup of coffee. 21° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 38° with mostly sunny skies. Off to PT again this morning. Then? I have not looked at the list yet today.

RNG, I cannot find info that says the 980 takes video. I sure would like that option.
For others here is a link to all the features of their current models. I want at least the clean pattern that RNG posted. We have a 650 model. 3 years old doing 3 rooms. No problems. We have a non shedding dog. But do get long tail hairs caught in brushes.
Edit, looks like link to compare does not work. You need to go down to middle of page a click on Compare.

Prayers for those in need.

Good Morning All.

a cold 28 degrees on the thermometer this morning, that won't be well received in the garden...over 200 beets planted and I think they
are toast. Thankfully I have another tray of 200 plus to plant, held them back to plant next week. Today I expect to plant carrots with the push seeder. The seed plate for carrots looks too "big" for those tiny seeds but I can't plant 2000 carrots one at a time with a dibble. Yesterday I raked the seedbed smooth, and tomorrow it's going to rain, so good time to plant.

No wind this morning. First time for that in quite a few days.
That will make it feel warmer outside at least.

Wng, after a day of living like a caveman, did you start to feel the urge to paint pictures on the walls ? In centuries to come, will someone look up at your ceiling and see the outline of a pickup with a line down one side, being cared for by the great solar healers ? :)

After one day without power, you only think of making fire and finding water...day 2 you think of painting the walls, and day three you chip a local rock into a wheel. :)

Just saw this morning that many folks in our coop will not get their power restored until Wednesday (up around Greene, Madison and Rappahannock counties for you guys that travel those routes along or across the mountain).

30 and clear and breezy going to 51.

Need to cut firewood up from a few trees I cut down last week, and split some I cut 2 weeks ago.

Wife heading to parents in NC to take dad to doctor, so she made a nice pot of stew last night to tide me over and my son, his wife and dogs came over and brought me some new coffees to try. I vacuumed the whole house before they came, so may look into that Roomba. RNG, why the blank areas?

8 and searching for a high of 28 Wind N7 mph. Partly sunny today.
The next 4 days looks good with snow on Tuesday and Wednesday and flurries the next two.
We've had our warmup and back into the freeze so maybe most of the bugs have been killed off. One can only hope.

Regarding brains, I used to eat a lot of head cheese as a kid....I liked it, but hated Brussels sprouts. Now I eat a lot of sprouts and avoid head cheese.

Eric, you need to give our American friends the recipe for mushy peas.

For you 'health food' guys; I heard somewhere that oatmeal was good for cholesterol. Is there any truth to that?

As for 'friendly politics', I stay away from discussing religion or politics, I find that is a good way to make enemies out of friends.

I gotta go to the PO today and mail out my tax paperwork to the accountant.

I will call my tractor dealer tomorrow and get him to email me a quote to supply and install a backhoe with thumb on my Kioti. While he is at it he can change all the filters on a separate work order along with the pick up and delivery. He can put the pick up and delivery in the quote, too. I will pay him separately for that and the filters.

Have a good and safe day all

Beta vulgaris This wholesome vegetable is doubly heart-healthy. The sweet, delicious roots contain high levels of glycine betaine. This phytochemical compound fights platelet clots and plaque formation in the arteries. Along with a wealth of potassium, calcium and vitamin A, hearty beet greens are rich in fiber, which may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.

this was great to read.

this was not....
• Transplanting not recommended as it can damage the tap root

one planting guide says transplant, another says not to. At this point I'm going with the not to's...
