I think they will sell a ton of them at 0% 0 down 84 months. Cab model for 30 grand.
Kernopelli,
Point of distinction. T h e RK tractors are not sold under the TYM badge even though the are similar. YOUR local tym dealer does not have the same investment in parts and whole goods inventory..and commitment for future sales volume. True RK has been inconsistant with past tractor endeavors but they did NOT have access to the price point and quality offered by TYM. Massey has two many fingers in the pie since they are brokering a Japanese made machine. The RK plan, and it is a written plan, encompasses a trained technician staff at each store capable of performing service with apprpriate parts inventory. Rome, deere and kubota did not evolve overnight. If the public will demonstrate some patience, RK intends for their brand to be fully functional tractor dealerships operating at each of the projected 250 stores. There is a thread under the kubota forum. It is in the kubota operating heading, thread is titled "outdoors with the morgans". It would be helpful if you posted the comment above in that space. Believe your input would be of interest to folks reviewing that thread.
That thread is way off topic and I would suggest keeping posts in this thread. That thread is more geared towards a show, where this one is geared towards Rural King tractors. Lots of opinions that don't matter in that thread (including my own) about youtube shows. Lets keep this one going about Rural King and their tractors. Rural King is a store less than 2 miles from my house. I frequent it often....last night in fact to purchase a maintenance minder (hour meter). I agree with everyone else, they sold those chinese tractors and continue to sell chinese side by sides and other products with engines that just are sub par with quality in my opinion. I believe TYM is Korean? Not sure. But I am hopeful they expand to my store and keep a good stock of implements and parts as we now have no tractor dealers in the County in which I live. I'm all set on tractors for now, but if this things works out it will be nice to have another option. And 30 grand for a brand new cab tractor with 84 months interest free financing should sell a lot of tractors....but is it going to work? It didn't work out for Cabelas or a lot of other folks who deal in TYM....
Selling tractors was working for Cabelas. Who thinks it was not? The only reason the endeavor ended was the owners put Cabelas up for sale and the new owner Bass Pro Shops wanted nothing to do with tractors, so it ended. If Cabelas was not sold, they would still be selling green tractors. Were they initially overpriced, yes I think they were in some markets. Tractor prices vary greatly 3 or 4 states away. I can tell you Cabelas was a little cheaper than my local TYM dealer. ButRural King’s prices would blow them both out of the water, for the same machine. Yes I know that Cabelas had a different loader and seat etc... TYM has built tractors for Mahindra for almost 20 years now in the US market.
The Cabelas in NC were loosing money on tractors.I don't know about other states. When they first started they were priced too high and wouldn't sell. In the end they had to take a loss to get rid of them.
