Poor Whipper came to us defective. She does not have the fetch gene or the learn how to fetch gene. I try to teach her till I get tired of fetching.

Good Morning!!!! 60F @ 5:30AM. Sunny. High around 70F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph.
Between the boy and your mom, Ed, you and your wife sure have a challenge ahead. Having dealt with dementia with my mom's boyfriend, it can be a real handful. His temper was horrible, alienating him from all but one of his neighbors, and then most of the nursing home staff. Very hard to deal with if it gets to that with your mother, and a doctor that says there's nothing to be done isn't much help, either. We got help from a county funded home nursing service that helped us know when it was time for the nursing home move. Believe me, we wanted him to be in his home as long as he could be, but there comes a time when that just isn't safe for anyone. I'm hoping for the best for you and yours going forward.
Good to hear from you again, RS. Hope you and others facing this new storm take it easy with the shoveling and driving next couple of days.
After reviewing the homeowners insurance quotes yesterday, I noticed that the second lowest had a lower deductible than the best quote. Talked with the broker about it, and he's going to revise his quote accordingly. So one more day waiting. Even with a higher deductible, though, the rate will double, and likely a little more. :shocked:
Very mild weather here, still no rain in the ten day forecast. That's good news for the annual motorcycle campout at Death Valley over President's weekend, and with no rain, the deer are doing a good job of keeping the grass cut. But it's looking like it'll take another March Miracle to keep drought conditions at bay for the summer months.
And here's another take on Wednesday, just in case Humpday is beginning to wear thin:laughing:

My son's boxer doesn't have that gene either...will chase the Frisbee, maybe pick it up, but drops it.

just about had a heart attack when buyer now sends me a bill of sale, a template he had..., which would have given him a 7 day free look with him driving off with the trailer.
Oh no, no no no. After a brief discussion of contract law, we agreed he would just bring me all the money and then I would sign the title and the deal was done. No 7 day anything, as is where is. He can bring a mechanic in if he wants but once I sign that title it's his rv.
this is where coming from a family of contract lawyers really helps.

Sorry for the shock, Drew, but it just goes to show you the deal is never done until you have the cash in your hand. Had a kid try to pull the seven-day-test-ride thing with a very expensive racing bicycle I was selling. Didn't go too well for him. I never cease to wonder how some people can completely re architect the terms of an agreement and never think twice about the impact it might have on the other party. I'm not one that has an easy time changing directions, especially when it comes to big deals like a vehicle. Hope there aren't any more bumps in the road for you on this one.

Morning all;
Cloudy morning here at this time storm supposed to be arriving at any time 6-10 or 8-12 inches depending on which chicken little talking head you listen to.
I will admit that this has been a dry winter for us, which is not a good thing as we had a dry fall also. Now we have this storm coming in and the news is making like its the storm of the century.
Dang we are talking less then a foot, while I don't enjoy the snow any more it is a part of winter. All the schools are closed, the grocery stores are mobbed, gas stations have long lines, what would be happening if it was going to be a 2-3 day storm dropping a couple of feet, which isn't unheard of. As I'm typing this the snow flakes have appeared, how long before the scanner starts going about the accidents because so many idiots won't slow down and don't equip their vehicles to handle winter weather, they have to have clean dry roads year round and it's always some one else fault that they aren't prepared.
Oh well here's wishing every one thats ill gets well soon, drive safe and enjoy.
