MX4700 tractor split need help removing seal

I was surprised to see an actual clutch in my Kubota. It wouldn稚 roll down a hill with the clutch held down. I知 really not sure what purpose it serves on the GrandL series. It痴 needed to engage the PTO on economy series.

Just as a point of interest, the MX series seems to be an exception to this rule. They're economy machines with an independent hydraulic PTO clutch.

Made this for my L4240 and used it 2 times on it, also on my B7800. It has been used by friends on 2 fords, one was a 5000 and the other was a little bigger don't remember the # on it.

Hope I dont have to look forward to this in a few years. My MX now has ~600hrs on it.....and I put on maybe 300 per year.

Regarding the seal....for clarification....that shaft cannot be removed???

I have a seal puller. Works like a charm....but its designed to work with the shaft removed.

However I have had luck piercing a seal and working around the shaft.....but only on thinner seals....like 0.250" or 0.312"

Not sure that it would work on a longer seal (seated deeper into a bore) with only one puller and one point of contact.

Puller looks like this:
Chassis/Under Carriage Tools Type: Seal 7792334 - MSC

I talked to the kubota mechanic, he reccomened taking out item number 060 and replace it with item number 040, so basically you have double seals. Any thoughts on this?propeller shaft rear 001.jpg

I'm thinking the outer seal you would need to grease it up pretty good so it doesn't just burn up from lack of lubrication. (assuming the inner sealer doesn't leak)
