Ideally this should be something that you can drive around wpart.
I know, asking for too much, but having the ability to motor around the property and have 10K watts for a welder or other electrical needs is way more attractive.
I put a car battery on the front of an old MTD tractor.
I used perforated angle iron from Home Depot bolted to the frame of the tractor and extending forward.
When I suggested the mobile generator that is how I saw the generator head being supported.
Being able to drive anywhere without having to reconnect to a stationary generator is the attractive part.
I always envisioned the mower deck gone. If you have an electric clutch then use it but if not, just drive the generator constantly.
It will use little power if nothing is being drawn from it. The pulley for the generator will be the same size as the one presently driving the mower deck.
Before buying a generator head be certain to see if the direction of rotation matters.

Bought It over 5 years ago, when I first got it had a problem with output was the capacitor. They sent a new one free of charge, it has worked flawlessly ever since. I hooked it to a 16 hp engine using a double belt drive as shown. This the ideal method not a flex coupler. All you need to make repairs is have an extra belt or two handy. I have it wired directly to my home. The electric start has never failed me. One down side is the plastic control panel very flimsy and there should be two more 115v receptacles and RPM gauge to let you know generator is at optimum output. Oh make sure you do get RPM gauge for engine so you dont over rev engine as well. When Sandy hit I ran it for 7 days 3hrs on 2hrs off with no problems. It saved us. Now all my friends want to build the same generator. Save yourself a lot of money, if your handy build your own 10,000 watt generator.
