Nice big pics. Congrats on your new assistant! I've read here that running the glow plugs for the full 10 seconds may help the initial smoking. Raising the throttle position may help as well.
Took me awhile to figure out the old school upload, but I did! Here she is in all here glory. I've run it 17.4 hours, digging out a stump, grading a yard, and digging out Bamboo runners. Runs great, but cold starts with a puff of blue smoke. Not sure if that's normal for one of these Yanmars. I'll upload a video if that helps.

Thx for the advice. Yes, and it doesn't require workmans comp! I have changed the throttle position and that reduces it, I'll do a ten count and see if I see any difference.
