Everyone needs one of those types of "stuck" in order to appreciate what not to do. My time was 30 years ago and it took me all day to get things out in pieces like you did. Lesson learned to not do that again.

On my land it seems to be an ever educating process or perhaps I'm just a slow learner. I get stuck quite often, but sometimes it's just more work than others to resolve the situation.

This year was especially wet and I've been badly stuck twice, slightly stuck a dozen times, and nearly had one rollover... I've got lots of ground that is typically very solid, but this year you need chest waders to stay dry and will go to your waist in muck. There are lots of new washouts hidden in the grass and weeds, a couple are large enough to swallow half the tractor or tip it over depending on how you come across it...

It hasn't rained here in a couple weeks,, I was mowing with the JD 4105,, and got stuck,,,

I was mowing under some apple trees,, then tried to back up a slight grade,, the tractor would not go.

WHAT THE,,,,,!!!

The fallen apples were everywhere, if it had not been for MFWD,, I would have been REAL stuck,,,
Those apples were like grease,,, :D

Putting the finish grade on a 12 acre land clearing job and seemed to find a wetter spot than I had been working...

Same land clearing job, but the initial stumping. Good thing my bride (literally) was there with the ole Kubota to pull out the John Deere 850!! :cloud9:

This was a different land clearing job; 18 acres on the side of a mountain. Some of it was not bad, but this part was teeming with ledge. It was not really a "stuck", but i sure was not going anywhere! It took me and another guy about 5 hours to put the track back on.
