I saw this guy today. He’s got 2 pallets of brick in a dump trailer behind a 1/2 ton dodge. The safety chains are dragging the ground and the truck bumper isn’t far from it.View attachment 535139

Must have been just too far forward, because I don't think 2 pallets and a dump trailer would exceed the capacity of a Ram 1500. I know I have previously hauled at the max capacity of my 2010 1500 (slightly over 10k) properly situated and it was fine, without sagging the rear past level with the front.

The brick was pretty close to centered over the axels. And there was no weight distribution hitch which is likely required to tow 10k. I say the load was around 10k. The bricks were around 6800 pounds.

Normally I take pics when I'm on the roof when the equipment is there LOL I had to go up to the contractor who sub'ed out to haul the existing duct work away, and I asked him "is he really going to take it like that?"

I was born in Aroostook county.

WHY in the frick would you move TO Maine if you're from below the M/D line?

Don't get me wrong, great area up there, just being over 50 with one back operation and needing to get a shoulder replaced, there is no way I could handle the snow:laughing:

Looks like a full pallet of something heavy in the bed too which is probably making the rear sink more than the bricks are.

He's lifting and dropping it a few times to make creases, to fold up better.

When I zoom in, looks like a plate compactor right at the tailgate. Should have moved that to the front of the bed. Jon

Yeah it looks like something loaded in the trailer ahead of the bricks, and the truck bed looks like it's full.

I like the weather better, much better! The humidity ruins the summer & winter in the mid-Atlantic states. That dang "gulf stream" set's up pumping that stuff right up there. Oh, I love snow too!:thumbsup:
