Lucky no one killed.

Friends in the alps with nice cars keep them inside the garage all winter... and it often for things just like this and for rust although the newer cars are light years ahead in rust prevention.

A few years back Portland had snow and ice and the results were similar... car after car sliding and colliding...

My starter suddenly quit and my little Taco was in the dirt floor pole shed that the snow had blown in an inch deep or so. I couldn't bear thinking of doing the job there when I have a heated shop. A pair of clevis's did the trick flawlessly. Luckily the Taco was pointing hitch out so I could just back up to it with the tractor and pull it around to the shop and back it right in.

Did something similar with my brand new 1978 Grand Prix, except used a chain. When I came to a stop there was a slight angle between the tractor & car, the car swung on the chain and the 3 point punched a hole in the passenger side taillight lens and bezel, I was sick.

Been tnere, done that... Hitched up my box blade & had a problem with the toplink barely catching. Was puttering back to the shop to fix it when it popped loose. Pivoted on the lift arms & tire rotation jammed the scarfier teeth into the tires HARD. Took me an hour or 2 to free things. Had to end up hitching the Tacoma to the bumper of the L4060 as ballast & the F250 to the underside of the box blade. Was impressed as how well the F250 drug both if em. No problems moving the the L4060 lifted & anchored on the box blade. Adding the Taco finally gave it something to pull against.

That bumper sticker is a little far from home in Maine isn't it? :)

I saw this guy today. He’s got 2 pallets of brick in a dump trailer behind a 1/2 ton dodge. The safety chains are dragging the ground and the truck bumper isn’t far from it.IMG_0896.JPG
