Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

I do alot of property maintenance for rental companies bought one of these a couple years ago.

50 Ft. Commercial Power-Feed Drain Cleaner with GFCI

It works great, has built in gfi on chord, foot vacuum operator, is heavy duty enough to do main lines no problem but still can be handled by one guy. Granted I wouldn't want to carry it up and down stairs all day but you can get it in and out without killing yourself.
I bought the earlier version without power feed when HF's $175 for the tool was quicker and cheaper than paying July 4 weekend Sunday double overtime for Rotorooter to go to my tenant's place. I only needed it a couple of times since then, but that first use already paid for it.

It's funny how when you (not just you) post the link to the tool HF seams to get the description wrong. Your's is the perfect example. Who would want a 5' power drain cleaner, lol. I know the one you are talking about, the 50' drain snake. It's not even like they are cutting off the very end of the text. It's usually something like a number that makes a big difference. You would think that HF would fix that as it's not a good business practice.

Thats a problem with this forum, not HF.

This is one of the current "free" great deals and a for sure doesn't suck contestant. It's the replaceable tip screwdriver and every home or farm needs a few or more of them. Just replace the tip after you screw it up. Works for me.

I like that as a free item, I put them in my cars. How exactly do you replace the tip as in where would you get one?

It holds the standard replaceable screwdriver bits sold in fine stores everywhere. They're the same bits you use in your drill and a zillion other places.

Why would you spend money to replace the bit once it's worn or lost? The screwdriver only cost $2 without the coupon from HF. Plus it's not the standard 1/4" shank so most of the bits you can buy will not fit. Also the bit needs to have the spring loaded detent ball to hold them in place.

Exactly, I think it's closer to 3/8". My 1/4" bits that are only an 1" long would disappear in the screwdriver shank. I have seen some that the 1/4" will fit in but not that particular one from what I recall.

Better yet, since it is free, get two, one for spare parts.

I have 3 or 4 already. :)

They are actually quite durable. I also have 3 sets of there free 6 screwdriver sets, also decent. I don't mind grinding them up for special projects.
