I've been looking for a ripper tooth attachment to go on my backhoe to possibly better dig up stumps.
I liked the looks of the bxpanded ripper and thumb tough they say they don't make one to fit my backhoe!
I can't find a ripper or other brand bucket that says it would fit the 1526b backhoe anywhere? I would think
There would be some sort of quick attach universal system that would enable the use of a verity of buckets and attachments
No matter the make, within it's own "class" of course.

My Mahindra MB63 backhoe is made by AmerEquip and they happen to make backhoe's for several OEM's, including John Deere. The John Deere 260 & 270 backhoe's look almost identical to my MB63. I'm doing the measurement thing to see if JD260/JD270 attachments will fit my MB63. I'm very hopeful that they will!

If not, I might have a local shop fab up some stuff for me, depending on cost. I'd happily pay the price BXpanded wants for their quick connect, ripper tooth, trencher bucket, etc.

Who makes your backhoe?

I guess KMW out of Kansas, I messaged a rep I found here on TBN. We'll see what he has to say about it? KMW seems to make a lot of OEM backhoes and loaders for most the big name brands as well. Though they don't mention Mahindra directly on their website?

I asked the guy from KMW if he new of a ripper that would fit the 1526 or another brand bucket that would fit and his response was they (kmw) don't make a ripper and I would probably need to have one fabricated. Nothing about another brands bucket that would fit. I might have to measure and randomly start looking at buckets.

BroTek in Canada will make one for you. You'll need to take some measurements on your bucket and they fab it from those. I had them make one for mine and it wasn't expensive and it only took a week or so. However, do tell them you want some teeth on it and to sharpen it and that you want it for digging stumps because mine is as dull as a froe so isn't very effective. Oddly enough they send it in the mail.

Sending items in the mail to/from Canada is not all that odd.
It is cheaper than UPS or FedEx.

I was just surprised to get heavy tractor parts via parcel post. Got here in about a week and I'm on the left coast. Not too bad considering it had to cross a border and a continent.

Kmw makes the hoe on the 1526. I bought a thumb for my 3016, from the Mahindra dealer when I got my tractor. It's the same tractor, different numbering. Ripper, can't speak to that.

Here's something I have learned about digging stumps - DON'T !
The O/P has probably discovered most of this by now, but I'll put forth my thoughts anyway.

They are typically a LOT BIGGER than the top surface suggests and with the smaller machines (smaller than WHAT ? A big ex ? Yes.) you have to dig out to find the point at which the surface roots are small/weak enough for you to pull/break.
Typically this is somewhere around the drip line, though if you are doing this for someone else you may not know the species or where its drip line was.
From there you have to work your way in and EVENTUALLY get it to the point where you can break it free.
At this point you may well find that you can spin it in the hole, but don't have the lift capacity to pull it out - I have had to TOW them out but still couldn't lift them to carry, so there can be a lot of lawn damage.

OK, so having said "DON'T" the question becomes "how to get rid of them ?"
These days I grind them with a modest 3 pt Woods grinder.
If the project is for lawn, pasture, back yard, etc. that is good enough, rake it flat, seed over, fertilize, done.
There is no huge hole to fill, no big root ball to dispose of, etc.

If the project is for building and most of the surface roots have to go you are still WAY AHEAD of the dig out strategy.
The roots are detached from their main trunk and are a lot easier to dig and pull, i.e. it has been reduced to a practical small(er) machine project.
