LS will gladly sell a shop Manual that covers every tractor in a series for $299 with free shipping , it would be much cheaper if they would make a shop Manual to cover a specific model it would be considerably cheaper plus their shop Manuel sales would would increase by hundred fold.... a service dealer may need manuals for every tractor in a series..us owners need a manual just for our tractors...

Your dealer should be able to order the service manual for your XR4040C. I ordered one for my XR3037HC 3 years ago. Cost was around $120.
