Don, I told my wife about the air fryer okra you talked about a while back and she brought it up yesterday. Do you like it and if so what brand, ect. Thanks.
Ed, it is a Cooks Essentials air fryer. It is the larger one I think a 5.3 qt. So far it is working good. The only problem I have with it is that you have to make sure the slide out drawer is lined up correctly or the machine will not cut on. Of course we only use it for vegetables. It excels with no oil french fries in 10 minutes. Okra comes out good and my wife also makes green beans. The green beans turn out a bit chewy for me but she likes them. Corn taco shells turn out good in them - when the air hits them they fly around and it makes them have that nice taco bend. It roast peppers well. For broccoli the ends burn a bit before the stalks are done. The heat for brussels sprouts is too hot and usually burns the outsides. It is a big thing on the counter and my wife thinks maybe a good convection toaster oven would do the same. So I guess mixed reviews but excels in no oil french fries. We use ours about 5 days a week.
