Hello, Need some advice quick on who makes the best enclosed trailers.

I'm considering purchasing an aluminum 6x14 single axle or an aluminum 7x16 double axle. Will be used for moving furniture, etc and also for hauling atvs.

Could you all recommend a good quality enclosed trailer. Quality is more important than price. But price is always important too.

I'm in east Midwest... easy access to Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, etc. Thank you!

First off I would not even consider a single axle 14' trailer. Personally 12' is my max for single axle.

I had a 6x12 Haulmark single axle and a 7x24 Haulmark two axle. Used cross country. No issues.

8x28 American Eagle gooseneck with the tall ceiling. It gets a lot use. Excellent trailer.

Why the size limit?
Could you squeeze your L3830 into a 14?
I'm looking for a dual-axle 7x14 so I can comfortably put my B7610 inside but it will be short enough to "easily" maneuver in a couple of tight spaces I have.

Goosenecks are great!
Only a pickup will pull it though.
The good news: Nobody will ask to borrow your gooseneck.
A full size SUV will easily pull a 6' or 7'x12' conventional hitch cargo trailer.

I'm not hauling my tractors in the trailer. I have an equipment trailer already.

Sure Trac is located South of Ft. Wayne. I have one of their 25' Goosenecks impressed with their quality. My enclosed trailer is a Wells Cargo aluminum which has been a great trailer. ATC also make a nice trailer which is what my bumper pull car hauler is, also aluminum.

Blizzard is aluminum and manufactured in NY state. Nice trailers, not low budget pricing. They're made within 100 miles of me, but I just couldn't swing the price at the time.
Not sure how far you're willing to travel, but here's a dealer page: Blizzard Mfg. Dealers
I agree with DP, stay away from a single axle on the longer trailer. I like dual axle for the added capacity, as well as the ability to limp to a safer spot if you lose a tire on the interstate.

But why the size limit? Just to fit in tighter places?

I was thinking if you could squeeze your tractor into it it would be another reason to go for a 7x14 tandem.

I've read a lot of debates on here and I think there is a lot of validity to rely on 4 wheels/2 axles instead of 2 wheels/1 axle. I have personally plowed Alabama highway and the side of the road when a wheel broke off of a 1 axle rental trailer.

Sometimes the "best" where I am at is different than the "best" where you are at. If you could narrow your profile location down a bit, you may find a better trailer manufacturer.

I prefer 2 axle trailers. They will travel over rough spots a lot smoother than a 2 wheeled trailer.

I had a 7x14 v nose dual axle Haulmark. It was one or their economy line trailers but it served me well for 6-7 years. I think I paid 4500.00 +\- for it new and sold it for 2600.00 when I bought the new one I have now. Pros on the Haulmark were price, decent quality, and local dealer for any service. Cons were the screws on the sides were ugly and it had a steel frame that was prone to rust and towing it behind a 1 ton dump put stress on the tong that was causing it to bend slightly upward. The new trailer is a 7x16 US hauler full aluminum frame and screwless sided with a 6" frame and extended tong. .. I'm hoping this is the last one I will have to buy.

Try Interstate Cargo Trailers, they are sold thru Trailers Plus stores. I think they have about 50 outlets in the US.

You bring up some good points... now I'm considering if I should get a 8' wide trailer! Lol!

My 24 ft Haulmark was 102" fender to fender so I guess it was 8 ft inside. Lots of room but white knuckle going through narrow lanes under repair on the interstates.

Yeah I bet! Lol! That's why I was considering the 7'. Would be it much easier to pull.

My dad purchased a 14' x 8' double axle Homesteader in 97. We had it re-worked one time about 10 years ago but it is still going strong. They are not the most expensive units made but this one has held up well considering what it has been through.

I've been considering an ATC. How do you like the quality of it?

ATC makes a high quality trailer. Several of us have an ATC trailer both open, enclosed, and even a closed stacker for hauling our cars around to tracks.
