The New Rural King Tractors

Questionable, having a tractor serviced by a Rural King clerk whose other job is stocking shelves/cashier ... caveat emptor

Separate positions, thankfully! I'm like you, though, don't want my tractor service by cashier.

. Well, fyi, every Rural King that sells tractors also services them. I was also told that if you have a problem, they will come out to your property to fix it and if need be, take it back to work on it. I don't know if that's all true or not as we've not had any problems with ours so far. I was also told that they can be worked on at any TYM service center but not for warranty work. Rural King is also planning on expanding their tractor line to more stores as soon as maintenance areas are setup and personnel trained.

That also is what Cabelas ~said about their partnership with TYM.

Just be aware that the day Rural Kings decided to no longer sell that tractor, your service is gone. They will not even work on it. Since they only service what they sell at that time.

They said that, whereas the warranty is thru Rural King, the tractor is exactly the same as TYM models (except for tires) and that any servicing/repair can also be done at a TYM center. I hope that's true. (Actually, I hope I never have to find out!) I looked up the TYM T554 and it is a twin of our RK55. Same engine, chassis, specs, even color. So, I guess time will tell.

Yes a TYM dealer can work on RK tractors. But they cant do warranty work on them. TYM-Korea will only refund warranty repairs to the division they sold the tractors to.

I wish you the best with your new tractor, but If they didn't put all that on paper, it was never said.

Over the past several years I've read here on TBN where members have taken their brand new name brand tractor back to the name brand dealer where they bought it, and the named tractor dealer threw everything but the kitchen sink at the customer's new tractor, trying, hoping, maybe something would fix the problem, almost sounded like that named brand dealer had the stock shelving guys doing the repair work.

If you work at Rural King you need a second job for the Snap on Man. Weed eaters maybe - a tractor never. Good luck with your new tractor, but why?
