RNG. If you mean the USGS file I dl and opened on my MacBook using Preview to open and grab the map portion. Imported both map portion and photo files into a blank Numbers spreadsheet where I could play with opacity and scaling. Save out as PDF. Took about 15 minutes, but I wasn't trying for a particular scale, just close match.
Used the safari TBN to import the PDF.

Were you able to download image files that didn't have the orange shading over them?

I used the tool at this URL:

Get Maps | topoView

The orange shading makes it very hard to see the topo lines, even when the opacity of the image is greatly reduced.

Agreed, v.sharp. Is it a "Glastron"? What jet unit do you have and what powers it? There's a retro-marine revival going around the world.
P.s. Your house has flooded.;)

Good morning all. Every evening seems to be turning into a wood burner event for us, September continues to be unusually cool and wet.

Off to the accountant this morning to hand over my paperwork that summarises another year's transactions. Although it still hurts when local authorities and government waste money, in general I no longer resent paying tax as I did in my younger days. It will happen anyway, so I may as well feel positive at making this contribution to society. How could I every complain at paying taxes for police to keep us all safe, for a fire service that may never be needed by my family but certainly will be by some, for teachers to educate every child, or for a medical system that takes care of all who are sick ?

Gary, thanks for telling the story of your elusive date

Poured first cup of coffee. 51° with fog this morning. Heading to 76° with mostly sunny skies. Got 30 second of rain yesterday afternoon. Today should be a good one to do power washing of garage again. Then a trip to Menards for electrical box and fixtures to put last motion light up.
DABSGT, nice restore of boat.
Good Morning All.

68 going to 81, maybe an Irma light shower. Weather man says this is the last day of Irma effects.

Beautiful jetboat. Hope we hear from you how it performs...maybe even an in water pic.

Eric, those are the good elements of taxes...add in military and highways and other things. The other side of taxes is the reason many hate them...the inefficient way they are assessed, collected, and most of all, as you said, wasted.

Had an early county meeting yesterday...we agreed that we needed more time to work on things in the next meeting, so we are starting at 7am rather than 7:30...I like our county government.

59 cloudy upper 70's for high chance showers during the day.

For some reason w/darkness arriving earlier and earlier seems to bother me more this year than any other I can remember... :confused3:

Pulling for the folks in TX. & Fla.

Enjoy the day all.

Looks great! There were a lot of companies building jet boats and a lot of them are long gone, what brand is it. Is that a Berkeley 12 series pump on it?

Pretty morning, might get a shower today and I need to mow grass. Oh well, have a great day.

Good morning all, 64 this morning going to 74 with a 50% chance of showers. Yesterday was a visit day, MIL came in am then Dr came for the boy, then a couple friends came and visited for a while and sang for the boy. While they were here the "drug dealer" as we call him, came and brought the boy's rx. Today nothing planed, will see what comes, maybe a nap.

Don, I have the load tester like the one from Walmart that farmer showed. Have had it for about 25 years and it still works fine.

Dab Nice boat, sure looks better in the 2nd pic. Looks like a large dose of elbow grease. Have fun with it.

Have a great day. Ed
