Holy destruction! 380 HP of mulching madness. The head appeared to be about 8-9ft wide and festooned with big carbide teeth kinda like on a flail (think "molars"). Looks like you could just drive it through thick woods and have a nice smooth, well-mulched trail. Cool video in the link, but I'd love to hear one in action instead of just dramatic music. I figured maybe $800,000?

Hey, I found a couple of used ones for ~$350K with low hours, so maybe only half a mil, new. I've seen a smaller version in action, clearing a gas pipeline right-of-way. Very loud, and it left nothing but chunky mulch in its path.

That is a very capable unit. The little step brother (not actually related thus the "step") Fecon Mulching head (FAE, DENIS CIMAF, etc) are also very capable and do a very nice job as well Just not quite as wide nor quite as fast as lower horsepower units run them.

YouTube videos give a more diverse and realistic overview of actual operation of the various different brands and models of forestry mulchers.
The hydraulic flow rate of the Barko 930 is ten times that of my little Kioti, so I won't be fitting a hydraulically-driven forestry mulcher to my tractor anytime soon.
