Concrete trucks may be at a disadvantage here!

What in the actual F!@#! I'm not afraid of heights, but there is no way you'd get me out on that contraption. How could they even construct the 'platform' before the concrete arrived?

At least they are wearing hard hats.

It's the guys who set those forms that impress me the most!!!!

They should be wearing parachutes! Notice the guy is carrying what appears to be a partial sheet of plywood. Needless to say, a good brisk wind, and the plywood will act like a kite...taking him for a ride over the side. It wouldn't be the first time.

It must be a h#ll of a special place they are wanting a way to get to. On second thought, no place can be that special.

Photoshop. There is nothing to support the concrete once they remove the forms, and why would they drop the concrete in the middle like that, instead of working from one end?

Not that I think the care much about safety, of course. I've lived in China, and I saw some crazy stuff there. Workers standing on concrete beams several stories up, no safety gear of any kind, swinging sledgehammers to break up the beam they are standing on, while a track-mounted jackhammer works on the end support post below them. Seriously.

I don't think anybody thinks the picture is real. It's just a fun picture that somebody made up and sent all over the internet.

I have seen a picture of a flat earth on the Internet. It must be true.

OH WOW, I've been seeing that picture forever and just thought it was Photoshoped. The pictures on the link of them working on it are even crazier!!!!!

It's the Daily Mail. 'Nuff said.

I guess that concrete is just going to stick to the side of the rock once they remove the scaffolding underneath.

The Daily Mail had a sketchy reputation a while back, but posts about this trail have appeared on many other and very reputable sites, and in fact TripAdvisor sells tickets to the trail and there are also articles in Huffington Post and on TravelChinaGuide and many others.

Sure wouldn't go near it on a windy day.

Real. There are many videos of another scary trail - Huashan Trail. See:

Been there done that! Spring of 2015 with my wife. Scariest hike ever!!! No way this is allowed in the western world. About an hour or so train ride out of Xi'an to the base of Hua Shan. Difficult to get to... not for the faint. No concrete... old wooden planks and somehow attached to the side of the mountain. A couple thousand foot drop if you screw up or if a plank or pitons give way.

This is a one way trail! You have to come back the way you came. Here is the Chinese lady that insisted on a photo together! All I thought is don't drop the camera and oh yeah, don't fall. It's a one way trail and means one person has to go 'around'! I went around but I stayed extremely up close and personal to her. This is the ultimate selfie!

I get light headed looking the pictures. Not for me, but I am impressed. There are flatlanders like me for a reason.

My knees got week just looking at your picture. For some reason, the first one of just the trail was the worse to look at. What are all the locks for?
