I tend to "suit up" too. long sleeves, pants, boots, hat, protective glasses, and especially a good dust mask.

I wear a mask, hearing protection, that's about it. We need rain, badly, I didn't mow today, too dry.

Just had another storm come through a couple of hours ago ... the one local station is reporting 1.18" since midnight last night and the other is reporting .83" ... so we've gotten a bunch more rain since yesterday. I think I can hear the grass growing. Sure don't need to worry about watering anything.

High hit 93F today and I managed to stay inside and avoid it pretty much all day long. Supposed to be cooler tomorrow, high around 82F.

Good evening all. 77F this morning, overcast, and quite breezy that early in the morning. Wind calmed down for a while, temp rose to 95F, clouds broke up, and wind came back with a vengeance. Bike ride, mow the front, clean boat, sort and load boat gear, put towing cover on boat before it rains tonight.

A little warmer for us this morning, with a rumor going around that the sun is considering putting in a guest appearance sometime later in the afternoon.

After being over in the barn when it was raining, I've thought that I'd enjoy a metal roof here on the house ... just enjoy the sound of the rain I guess.

 Me too. In the past most people have looked at me kinda strange when I have admitted to that, but I get the feeling tbn has many more rain-on-roof lovers than the population average.

What do the rest of you think, do you find the sound of rain-on-roof  or  ? (or maybe :confused3: ?)

Earlier this week we called over to see how our son is getting on with a bit of house remodeling. While walls were getting knocked about, he took the opportunity to put "a few" speakers into the walls and ceiling of his lounge. I counted 11 speakers dotted around, including 4 in the ceiling in what he tells me is a Dolby Atmos configuration. I had to admit it did sound impressive when he played me a scene from Hacksaw Ridge, but what I liked most of all was another dvd that had rain beating down on a metal roof, so realistic I wanted to look up and check the ceiling wasn't leaking !
