Good morning! I was at the Giddings filling station when this ad appeared on the gas pump.View attachment 512105

Too bad it's only 130 miles away round trip. Maybe some day each town will have at least one ethanol free gasoline pump for small engines.

I had given up on non ethanol gas.. but bought a new trimmer (Stihl FS70R) and the salesman told us we would have better results with non ethanol fuel and a local station had it for about $1 more per gallon than the ethanol gas. We got some on the way home. New trimmer was awesome, very nice and looking forward to using it more (wore me out before I was done).

In my town I can buy it for 15 cents more per gallon. We always have tons of boaters and yard workers at those gas stations.

81F and mostly sunny @ 10:30, high today supposed to be 87F (WB) or 90F (Accuweather) ... record today is 90F. With it this warm, this early in the day, I'll bet we beat 87F. High yesterday was 87F, think WB predicted 85F. Woman was just outside and came back in and said it was very hot. No rain until tomorrow ...

Did some garage cleaning yesterday, The Woman finished up painting the edges on the 4 panels and painted one side of piece of plywood I'm going to use here at the house for a no trespassing sign at the entrance to the driveway. We ran into town to get the measurements for the two small windows I still need to cut panels for because I couldn't locate the paper I had them written down on , stopped and got gas for the Simplicity and two more gallons of diesel to mix up some more Pramitol.

Also dropped by The Depot and picked up some black silicone caulking, and a couple of day lilies and two dozen marigolds, which we planted last evening after we had dinner. I did a little more mowing up around the wood lot after that until it got dark.

Need to drop the FEL and the sprayer and put the MMM on the kubota today, so I can get the front mowed. Appointment this afternoon @ 15:00 in Wayne County to apply for CCW license. Have to fix shelving in the wife's van ... bolt came loose and dropped out.

Still not drinking Coke and continuing with the water (at least 4 - 6 glasses per day), still cramp free ...

53F @ 8:45AM. Cloudy early, becoming mostly sunny this afternoon. High near 70F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Kyle, those cherries cost $4/lb, and I picked 2 1/2 lbs. in about fifteen minutes. I'm not a canner, nor much of a baker, and I gave away half the bag to my Russian buddy on Saturday. The rest sit in an open container in the fridge, and I grab one or two or a handful every time I open the door. They won't last 'till Wednesday I figure!

Got a start on moving the pruned limbs to the burn pile, but only got two loads moved before it started raining. Cold, fat drops with little bits of hail had me heading for cover fast. Not supposed to rain again for at least a week, but by Wednesday it'll be back in the 90s. Gotta get the mess cleaned up well before then.

A bit of a dull morning and windy again, but at least that keeps the flies away, so not a bad day at all for working outside.

Ron, it is like a circular saw that is purpose made for making accurate, clean and straight cuts. A sort of upside down table saw - without a table.

The saw sits on top of a length of extruded aluminium track that is placed on top of the wood you want to cut. The track can be clamped to the timber if you want, but most of the time there is no need to as thin rubber strips on the underside of the track grip the wood below and prevent it sliding off the cutting line.

Lots of videos on you tube. Most well known make is probably Festool, although they are a little out of my price league. This one shows the Makita that I have Tool Review - Makita SP6J 165mm Plunge Cut Circular Saw - YouTube.
I have something similar. Not as large/wide. Rockler Low Profile Straight Edge. I have lexan plates made up for router and circular saw.

Cajun I can relate to INSTANT bruising. Just this morning starting my dad's old edger with seafoam it pulled violently backs and the pull handle slapped my other hand for my instant bruise. Image1497287626.788839.jpg

75 this morning and currently 88. Heat index 96.

The guy that farms my neighbors land was cutting wheat this morning when I came back from the stockyards. Hauled the last of my big calves today. Need to go move some hay to field edges so we can haul it out even if it rains.
