He was probably just checking to see if you had properly extinguished any campfires/burn piles. The new TV commercials show him giving bear hugs to those who are careful with fires. You may have missed your chance :)

Seriously- do your see bears very often?

Also had one in the driveway this morning sniffing around just before I left for work...its that time of the season.

Not so tough its that some of us have more common sense than others. ;)
You folks have your handful w/nasty twisters heat etc. and snakes :eek: that right there tells me you can't be wus to live out there.

Just heard an NPR show about bears. Approximately 6,000 in the state, 6,000 in VT, 4,000 in MA.

They've asked people not to stock bird feeders and secure their trash.

And, I think they said, 800 or so permitted kills too.

Good thing our governor pardoned those 3 Ivy League bears at Dartmouth. Lol. Politicians.:confused3:

Seems in our area LOT more bears last 10 years and not all that bashful compare to 25+ years ago,guess there better pickings.
