Is the 3430 a Grand L? I've been googling but havent been able to find out.

As far as I know, all Lxx30, Lxx40 and now Lxx60 tractors are considered Grand L's. The Lxx00 and Lxx01 are standard series. The grand L's have features like arm rests and the intellipanel dash that are missing on the standard series. More info on the difference is available here:

Ain’t Life Grand: The Difference between the Kubota Standard L Series and Kubota Grand L Series — Humphreys' Outdoor Power

Some features depend on the model year however.

Great link. Thanks.

My first thing to get done is adding 3 rear remotes. I understand kubota has a kit for the 3430HSTC. Will have to price it out.

Want to be able to get a top n tilt installed along with being able to run a grapple in the future

Its the 60". If you are going to use it for driveway maintenance, good idea to go with half your road width. That way you can run with the working width covering half the road with the inner wheel/skid on the top of the crown.

My road is 10' wide. If I went with the 72" it would cut off the crown in the center of the road.

You might want to check with MtnViewRanch who owns Fit Rite for a TnT setup and advice, I seem to remember Kubota running way behind on these components.

I added remotes to L5030 (no cab) , was pretty easy.

I'm not what you would call mechanically inclined... :)

Luckily my father in law is a mechanic and has his own shop where we can do the work. Just need to get the right part numbers from Kubota

I have a QA for a LA723 loader I need to get rid of. I bought my L3130 without QA, then bought qa pallet forks. Never modified my bucket for qa, I traded it pin on as I bought it.

Now just need to get the feel of the HST transmission and correct throttle settings. Don't want to burn fuel unnecessarily when just driving without a load.

I also added remotes to my 3430. I ordered one on the tractor when I bought it and added 2 more a few years later. At the time, 2011 I think, the dealer quoted me a price of $1200 for the parts. I thought that a bit high so I bought 2 OEM QR's to match the existing one and plumbed them up to a Prince 2 spool FEL valve. Then I ordered a T&T kit from Brian at Fit Rite and it worked perfectly. I highly recommend his work!

If you do get a Fit Rite kit and use OEM QR's, the setup will look like this on a L3430:

Looks good. Would I be able to run a third function from those remotes to the FEL for operating a grapple? (I know nothing about tractor hydraulics)

EXACTLY! I made that mistake. Bought a 72" when I really needed a 60".

I also went with Kubota OEM remote hydraulic parts for the hydraulic block/hoses/valves/levers. FitRite for the Top&Tilt cylinders.

You can run a grapple off your rear remotes, a third function setup is easier, but very expensive. An alternative method is a diverter, Ken's Bolt on sells them as a kit.

Have to remove seat to install the tap, I posted pics on tbn somewhere. Wasn't hard, was my 1st time working with hydraulics. I order from messicks, around $1200 for 2 remotes.

At first, I used a rear remote for my grapple instead of a 3rd function valve. It worked ok but I got tired of moving my hand back and forth between the FEL joystick and the remote valve. Routing the hoses is also a pain. They tend to get in the way when disconnected. I quickly decided to spend the $800 to have the dealer install a W R Long 3rd function valve. The grapple operation is much smoother and can be operated with one hand.

Another tip on adding rear remotes. I suggest you add at least one with a float position. With the T&T kit, it comes in handy to use with the top link cylinder on implements like a mower or brush hog.

Dealer got back to me with pricing. I had requested for the 3 rear remotes, top n tilt, and third function for FEL. Quite high. I replied asking for just the price on the parts not including installation.

Their reply:
Thank you for inquiring about adding accessories to your L3430HSTC.

The 3 rear remotes installed would be $1800 plus tax.
The top and tilt installed would be $950 plus tax.
The 3rd function would be a secondary vendor since Kubota does not make one for the L3430HSTC.

All together the total installed would be $4250 plus tax.

If you have us install the entire package, we would charge $4000 plus tax.

You would have to drop off your tractor and pick it up when complete.

Due to the nature of the installation, we would have to do the installation.

If you would like to get this started I would need a deposit of $1500 to special order all of the parts needed.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

While they have creatively evaded your request for quote sans installation, their deposit request is a probably pretty good indicator of the cost of parts.

They said they will not sell just the parts, as their policy is they will only do parts and installation as a package due to problems with people trying to do it themselves and having problems, losing or damaging parts and then having to have the dealer end up completing the install.
