Electric pump issue

I bought a small pump. The used pump had no wiring for power supply.pump runs n reverse, no matter how the lugs are wired. Help

What kind of pump?
Household well water pump?
DC 12 volt RV pump?
diesel transfer pump?
bilge pump?

If an AC pump , switching wires won't help (unless U do internal changes, and that on only some versions)
If DC then it should reverse rotation.

We obviously need more info to be of assistance.

There are a very few 110 volt motors that are reversible, but most are not. If it is reversible there should be a wiring diagram on the nameplate or in the connector box to show you how to reverse it.

model numbers for pump would most likely help and pictures as well.

some pictures and explanation of how you have plumbing ran as well.

you might have an air lock, might not have pump primed, might be using smaller pipe that what is needed. might not have fittings tight or done properly. again pictures would help along with model number of pump. and possible pictures of wiring.

Impeller is running backwards with little flow

If the impeller is running backwards, your right, somehow your motor has Reversed

I found this ....Typically an electric motor running in reverse direction is caused by (in order of probability)

A failed electric motor starting capacitor
A single speed single-phase motor leads are reversed on the motor's start winding connections
A single-speed 3-phase electric motor has two of its supply leads reversed
